An Email Hint From My Mother

My mother has been trying to talk Hubby and I into starting our own business for a few years now. She insists that we will get nowhere if we are working our butts off to line someone else’s pocket in the interim.

She sent me an email with some pretty interesting franchise information from a website called www.redhotfranchises.com, I must say they have a huge selection of business opportunities listed for review. Every kind of franchise you could imagine.

I did look it over and there are many that I find appealing but honestly I don’t think Hubby and I have the energy needed to start up something at this time. We still have our hand’s full with the kids and all of their needs seem to take up the majority of our time right now. But who is to say what the future has in mind for us, maybe one day we will take mom’s advice, but not this day. Right now my main concern is getting through the holidays and the start of a brand new year.

Thrift Stores Are The Way To Go For Winter Clothes

Each winter, no matter how hard I try and get the whole family prepared and outfitted for the nasty cold weather that we have to deal with, some one needs something. So tomorrow I’m heading out the door to the new A.S.P.C.A. Thrift Store that recently opened up here in town to pick up a few things. Going to look for some nice warm water proof boots for myself, my old ones just don’t cut it anymore and I don’t want to spend a lot of $$$.

I got a coupon in the mail for this new second hand store that benefits all the local animal population in so many ways, as you may know by now that coupons and I like each other.

The Task Of Ordering Machine Handles Online

The days of running all over town, and sometimes needing to go to neighboring towns, to find items that are so easy to order Online such as the machine handles that Hubby is needing. It is worth waiting a few days for the items to arrive at our door and ready to go.  It took all of 7 minutes to find the perfect handles and they should be here in time for him to get what he needs to do with them.

Now I can move on to other tasks that need to be tackled. My “To Do List” is never ending and always changing. And to  think that the Christmas season is looming straight ahead at us. Actually I just looked up how long before Christmas comes and it tells me it is 77 more sleeps, which equals ten weeks. OMG, makes my head hurt just thinking about it.

Hubby love his knives, all kinds of knives, between he and his Dad they must have over a thousand of them, must be a “guy thing.” I must admit that some of them are pretty spectacular and I have learned quiet a lot about them since being exposed to them as much as I am.

Memory Foam Pet Beds

It is never easy to see your pet(s) aging. There are so many health issues that come along with owning any type of pet throughout their whole life span, but when they get so old that you can see how they are suffering, it is a real bummer. Our 9 year old Pug is starting to show signs of aging and the pain that goes along with that. I have done all that I can for him, even purchased memory foam pet beds to make it more comfortable for him during his waking hours.

There are a bunch of great deals online for pet beds and I would encourage anyone who owns a pet that is in pain, for what ever reason to go ahead and purchase a memory foam pet bed for them as well.

Art Galleries Right On The Internet!

Hubby is totally a typical “blue collar worker” in the fact that has no interest what so ever in the Arts, but I have always loved going to Art Museums and Galleries when given the opportunity. I have my parents to thank for that, we used to go a lot when I was a kid and learned to appreciate good works of art.

I was so happy to run across the website of cruiseartgallery.com which advertises it is the “Home to the largest collection of fine art in the world.” And that “Park West Gallery conducts fine art auctions throughout the United States and Canada.”

I know that I will not have an opportunity, any time soon, to visit this wonderful Gallery, so I’m so very happy that the web-site gives you the opportunity to view a large selection of artwork by several talented artists such as Peter Nixon, Maracus Glenn, Andrew Bone and Charles Lee, in which I am just naming a few. I don’t think my parents would have ever dreamed that one day you could own your own home computer and with a few key strokes have the chance to see such a wonderful thing right there in your own home, I know I wouldn’t have believed it back then either.

Look of The Year, Interesting Online Beauty Contest!

My oldest daughter has always been interested in modeling, she is a looker, all blond hair, green eyed, large busted and all. When she was real young, three and four years of age, I had her in several beauty pageants and she always either placed or would win 1st prize, that all seems so long ago now.

Through out the years she has been told numerous times by people that she should check into modeling and it always makes her feel good, but she just never has proceeded with it. But last night she found a website of a company called Look of The Year, which advertises a unique online beauty for anybody, not just a chosen few! Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and anyone who surfs their site, world wide, has the opportunity to be a judge, and cast a vote for the one that they believe is the most beautiful.

Sounds interesting and I can see where she would get a charge out of participating in something like this, she is going to register and search for the perfect picture to submit. I’ll keep you posted in what takes place.

Alfred Guitar Tablature Online

We were so tickled to find that they have found a teacher to teach the guitar at my kid’s junior high school. There has been such a demand from students the past couple of years to teach the guitar that their persistence finally paid off and there is no a lot of anxious kids ready to learn. I found a good Alfred Guitar Tablature at musician’s friend online along with various other musical sites that the Internet can now bring to any kid who has Internet access anything that they can dream of in an unlimited variety of options.

I wish that I had taken some type of lessons back when I was a kid. I would love to be able to have what it takes to make music. It’s such a great talent that I admire in anyone that plays any type of instrument.

Bum Deal With JCPenney Order

It really burnt me up, I had been looking at these lofts for several months now, my daughter has sat with me many a nights looking at all of her options, bunk beds, day beds, trundle beds, lofts, and when we found a loft bed that offered a full size mattress size, so that when a friend sleeps over there will be room for the two of them, as of now they either squeeze together in her twin bed or one sleeps on the hard floor. They really don’t mind, kids can sleep just about anywhere but it will be so much more comfortable and roomy for her in many ways, that we fell in love with the one from J.C. Penney’s.

Since I have a credit card with that store I receive emails with promotions and when I received one offering free shipping on orders over $250 I then made my decision to order the loft then and now. After filling out all of the information of the order and going through the whole process, and the end they tell you that this purchase doesn’t qualify for the free shipping promotion, I was flabbergasted, but was tired and said what the hell and placed the order anyone and I will just have to suck up the loss.

Researching Homeowners Insurance Rates

The money that we shell out every month for our current homeowners insurance rates is really getting out of hand. This next up and coming weekend I plan on researching online other insurance company rates and see what I can come up with that will help reduce the amount of money that goes out each and every month. With the thought in mind that Christmas is really right around the corner I am getting anxious about how we are going to manage purchasing all of the gifts that we are obligated to hand out each holiday season.

I’ve been trying to cut back in any way that I can and the Internet is a great tool to help me with the overwhelming tasks required to make our budget a bit easier to tackle.
