Daughter wants to check out on-line an Auto Loan

My Daughter has had her eyes on a certain 1991 Honda Civic, and I talked to her into checking out the Internet to see if they had an Auto Loans website to see if she was able to finance the car. So we checked it out, and come to find out she has bad credit. So I had told her to check it out again, to see if they had a website for Bad Credit Auto Loans, lo and behold she found one www.autoloansmania.com.

The website advertises Auto Loans for Bad Credit “No matter what your financial situation may be, we are here for you!” Sounds good to me, all we had to do was simply tell them what type of loan you were interested in getting approved for. Once you made a selection, you will be transferred to their secure auto loan application. “It couldn’t of been any easier than that” I said.

Crazy Weathermen

We are trying to make plans for the week-end but the weathermen won’t make up their minds.

At first they were saying that it will rain on Sunday, then it changed to Sunday evening/Monday morning, now they are saying Sunday again, ugh, it makes it hard to plan things this way.

My youngest wants to invite her girlfriends over for a sleep over and I would like to take them to the park and possibly go creek walking with them. We love finding a creek and then walking in and around it while following where it takes us, we have been doing it for years now and the girls really enjoy it. We find all kinds of interesting things along the way and the girls get to see first hand how awful people are about littering, the creek is almost always full of all kinds of trash, which makes us very sad indeed. It ends up a learning experience for all of us in some way or another it seems.

What a beautiful day

The day was so nice that Hubby and I just had to go outside and enjoy some of it, it was in the mid seventies! It rained all day yesterday (Sunday) and now we are in for a nice week, it least that is what they are saying today.

The yard is in need of so much that at first we were over whelmed, but we just dug in and soon the afternoon was almost over and we were getting hungry for dinner. I love that it can be 7:30pm and it is still light outside.

I can’t wait until the firefly’s start coming out, there is something magical about seeing them flittering about in the backyard. And we should be getting some hummingbirds again this year, they are so cool to watch!

Speaking of fundraisers

Hubby and I went to our daughter’s school last night to met her teachers for the semi -annual Teacher/Parent Conference, we had the chance to talk with all of her teachers, they all spoke highly of her.

To get to one of her classes we had to walk through the cafeteria, that is when we noticed that they were having a silent auction.  There was probably a dozen or so nicely packaged baskets that were filled with assorted themed products.  Most of the baskets had bids all ready of $75 or more, but we found one, a coffee filled basket with a new coffee maker enclosed also that no one was bidding on, so we placed a bid on it and walked away and didn’t think anything else of it.

Well we got a phone call from the school yesterday, I saw on caller I.D. that is was the school calling, so I thought it was our daughter calling from the clinic with a tummy ache, but surprise, surprise, it wasn’t her, it was a lady telling us that we had won the silent auction coffee basket, how about that.

Fundraising, again

When school first started, they asked us parents to sign up to volunteer for some things throughout the year, and I signed up to assist with the fundraising programs. I hadn’t heard anything all year, so I thought that I had been forgotten (boo hoo), until the phone rang the other evening and I ended up talking with the Volunteer Coordinator, and she talked me into coming to the meeting to see what could be done.

At the meeting, I was asked (as were a few other moms also) to check around and come up with some ideas and suggestions for their end of the year fundraiser. The proceeds will help with the end of the year graduation celebrations.

I have been involved with fundraising events before, I guess anyone with children that go to public schools and/or participates in any kind of sport activity is all too familiar with it, for that matter.

So I spent some time on the Internet, taking advantage of quickly and easily finding the information that I was seeking right there at home, on my PC, not even having to pick up the phone and deal with voice mails, or pagers, or people not returning phone calls, playing phone tag or anything else that is irritating like that.

I found during my researching that it appears that the two most popular items that are out there used for fundraising are the custom car magnets and silicone bracelets. So I found a great web-site, www.arcmktg.com that has those two items for sale, and I think I will recommend these at the upcoming meeting that is scheduled for next week.

Yardwork

It turned out the be such a nice warm day, it hit the 70’s and it is supposed to stay this way at least for a few more days. I hope that it stays longer than that.

After my youngest got home from school, I got her a snack and then got her started on her homework.  I then managed to sneak outside for a good hour and got my hands nice and dirty and got some weeding and raking done. Boy it felt good, all kinds of people were out and about, walking by and stopping to say a quick hello and a how do you do, enjoying the nice warm weather.

I also managed to half way clean off the back porch, I’m gonna need Hubby to turn the outside faucets back on, I don’t think we will be having anymore below freezing nights anymore, and so many things need a good hosing off.

I hope to be able and go back out again for just a bit tomorrow, a little at a time and it will all get down in due time.

Youngest is a “Pre-teen” OMG

My youngest daughter is now 12 and is considered a “Pre-teen” and today it really hit me.  Last night she asked what time I was scheduled to work today and wanted to know if she could come along with her two friends so that they could go malling together.  I am not interested at all with her going malling, the mall isn’t the safest place for young ladies, but since I will be there and one of the other girl’s mom will be working there also I decided to let her come, along with her friends.

I was at the cash register which is in the front of the store where I can see what is going on in the mall.  My three girls where there waving at me and then walked away, just a few moments later I see three boys, all much older than 12, take a second look at the girls and then they turned around to follow them.  When I saw that I freaked and went out into the mall to make sure that my girls were safe, and that is when I realized that my baby girl isn’t such a baby anymore, she is developing into a very pretty young lady, and it scares the *&%#@*% out of me.  Her two other friends both have started developing a while back, that is O.K. with me, but I just am not ready for mine to be going through all of that, next thing you know she will be starting her monthly period and I will surely have a hard time dealing with that.

Beautiful Saturday

I swear, you just can’t trust a weatherman, I would never ever consider having a relationship with a weather forecaster because they have a hard time telling the truth and you cannot trust them as far as you can throw them.

All week we have heard nothing but how Saturday is going to be rainy, all day long, and then on Sunday the weather would clear and end up being a nice day.  Well guess what, it is Saturday and not a drop has been seen or felt, it is a beautiful warm sunny day, and now they are saying that Sunday it will be raining all day.

Well they were wrong about Saturday, maybe (I hope) they will be wrong about Sunday.  I really hope it doesn’t rain tomorrow, Hubby and the youngest are to go to the flea market in the “big city” way early in the morning and if it rains it will ruin everything.  Hubby has done pretty good the past two Sundays that he went into the city, if he could have just a few more like it things would be a whole lot better and we just might be able to pay all of our monthly bills on time this month.

Everybody’s Talking Part III

Baby factory: Catherine Delgado is a regular baby factory. The mother from Swansea, Wales, has given birth to seven children in the last five and a half years. The 35-year-old woman gave birth to her first child in 2001 and her second child in 2003. But the, a year later, she had twins. In 2007, three years after the twins arrived, Catherine had triplets. “It’s been absolutely shocking,” she says of her maternal record. Catherine, who owns a maid service, and her husband Juan, a maintenance worker, are over the shock now. “we are just thrilled about having three more children.”

Taken from Coffee News – “News to be enjoyed over Coffee”

I discovered that there is a restaurant that I really love is close by to where my sister moved last year.  I haven’t eaten there in over eight years, so last time I visited my sister, I stopped in an enjoyed a fabulous meal, that is where I picked up the copy of Coffee News that I have quoted lately.  It is a small flyer with advertising and interesting tid-bits that is fun to read anytime.

Too many E.R. trips

Last week my eldest daughter spent a good amount of the week in the E.R. (three separate trips) and one of the times by an ambulance.  It was a very scary week and I’m glad that it is over and that she is feeling better.

While at the E.R. we had the opportunity to see the Medical Helicopter land right there in front of us, apparently the patient was having a heart attack and they needed to get him there pronto – hence the helicopter need.

It did spark my interest in the Air Ambulance business, so one night when I was surfing the net I ran across a link that took me to www.aerocare.com, an air ambulance service. It was very interesting, not a job for just anybody, that is for sure.  I have a lot of respect for the people that do this kind of work, what skills and talent they have and what a wonderful opportunity to put those skills to use in helping people in their time of need, and saving lives, too cool.

It’s nice to know that if we ever have the need air ambulance transportation is available, let’s just hope we never have that need.
