President Bush, what a guy. The war is still on but……….
WASHINGTON (AP) — Congress, facing the prospect of an election-year recession, passed an emergency plan Thursday that rushes rebates of $600 to $1,200 to most taxpayers and $300 checks to disabled veterans, the elderly and other low-income people. President Bush indicated he would sign the measure.
When we get our check, supposedly it’s expected to arrive in May, I’m afraid we won’t be going out and spending it on fun stuff to help stabilize the economy, we will be paying bills to help stabilize our very unstable checkbook.
Thanks President Bush, but now can you figure out how to end the war?
I’m not quite so sure that Bush came up with this plan, I think it was brought to him by people who actually give a rat’s **** about the little people, and Bush’s approval rating is so low at this point he’s probably running scared and afraid to veto it! Considering all the tax breaks he’s given to his rich friends, what he is NOT veto-ing as a tax break to us little people is just a drop in the bucket!
I think that he’s just trying to improve his image at this point, and really doesn’t care about is “little people” at all!
