There is this singer who shows up every once in a while on the cable music pop channels and on some awards shows. He is like the black Elton John with crazy costumes and nothing but nonsense music.
Where the heck did this crazy dude come from? Is he British? I don’t like his songs at all and his crazy costumes and clothing makes me cringe. Why do people like that make so much money and get all this publicity? Do people really like weirdos like this?
Have you seen the show, Person of Interest”? I think the story premise is frightening. When I watched the previews it was creepy, but I forced myself to watch it. And it was pretty much exactly what I thought it was, which is disturbing. It is pure, subtle propaganda for a police state. The idea is that two guys who care about the world are going after people before they commit a crime because they have special access to data. They are making it look ok and cool because they put their Hollywood spin on it. But imagine being intercepted by law enforcement because they think or assume that you are going to be involved in a crime – no evidence, no proof – just their personal assumption and some computer data from a questionable source. That is frightening to me.
I love the way Redbox sends me an email every week with a list of all the new movies that are coming out. I read over the email and decide which movie I want, then I reserve it online. It works like a charm! I’m so glad my girlfriend Robin told me about Redbox last year. I had no idea it was so easy!
For years I would do laundry on Wednesday nights. It was always a night with several situation comedies on TV and I could time the trips downstairs to the washer, and then to the dryer, to coincide with the commercial breaks or between shows. But now I seem to just wash a load whenever there is enough accumulation to warrant running the machines. So, tonight is the night – I don’t see any point in waiting until Wednesday.
My girlfriend’s very first movie line is, “Well, hello ! I’ve been waiting for you to call all day.” LOL
We still have three CSI shows and I end up watching them here and there. I’m not really a big fan of any of them, although I do favor the original one based in Las Vegas over the other two.
I’m surprised that they stopped at three shows. I was really hoping for a western themed CSI – like Dallas or even Oklahoma City. And I think they could do one based in New Orleans, too. That would give us a different CSI for each night of the work week.
Good grief. This Letterman joke and Palin overreacting is getting ridiculous. The Chicago Tribune site calls out for Letterman to offer a formal apology. His aired apology pretty much covered it. The joke was a joke. Palin needs to get over it. Her remarks to Matt Lauer this morning were out of line and typical of a redneck getting all het up over nothing.
I’m SOOOO glad that she is not our Vice President. I hate to think that this white trash hussy could have been one heartbeat away from actually being President and shaming us all. I’m not even a political activist. But my goodness, don’t you agree that this woman and her trashy family are a train wreck?
Is it a joke if no one laughs? If the joke is on you and everyone laughs, is it on the person telling the joke? Or is it on you for giving the joke substance?
The kids are all talking about a new game and cartoon series called Bakugan. I don’t know much about it, but the cartoons are the Japanese anime style cartoon and seem to be entertaining with an ongoing storyline of “right is might.” What I like is that the heroes include some girl characters, although they have an annoying way of crying a lot.
