As the years go by, I can’t count the amount of money I’ve put in to my gardens and lawn. I’m having problems with the back yard and the grass that is growing back there. A friend of mine told me about TruNatural Organic Lawn Care Service that she had used and I wanted to get the info about it. There are literal plans that meet my lawns certain needs and since I don’t know what exactly it needs, I’ve decided it’s well worth the time asking lots of questions and also worth the money that I’ll actually be saving with an honest service instead of one that just does the minimum for my lawn but charges a fortune. It indeed is worth checking this service out!

Help with Real Estate Hamptons NY

Usually people I know are looking for homes to buy or rent, but my friend Michael is looking for help with Real Estate Hamptons NY to rent or sell his home, so he can move closer to his family in Ohio. He is super picky about his property and assured me if anyone could properly sell or rent out his house in the Hamptons, that his real estate agent could do it. He also told me that the fees are reasonable and he’s totally comfortable putting his property in his agents hands.

I have dealt with many realtors who weren’t into selling a home for me or just wanted to make a quick deal and end it. In truth it was a horrible experience. Michale assured me that as he is not sure if he would like to rent on a permanent basis and leave the property without supervision, that the agent would help with all of those particulars. They have a lot of various services to choose from and I think this is great!

It leaves peace of mind that they are experienced in dealing with homes in the Hamptons NY and that if he chooses, my friend can leave his home to renters while he is living out of state. I know of course that he would make annual visits to his place to check on it, but while he is gone, this would be taken care of.

Gathering seeds and doing household repair

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been gathering seeds from what I call, my “blown out herbs and flowers” so I can put them in packages, mark them and then plant again next year. I love having herbs, flowers and other plants that I have grown and then gathered the seeds, and planted again the next spring. Generations of plants, so to speak.

I’m also getting the house ready for the winter. There are some repairs needed to be done on the outside of the house, due to the drought and yet also the terrible storms that passed through when we did get rain.

All of these things I love to do but need help with, and I have to admit that my kids have been wonderful about helping me with the a lot of the things that need to be done. This gives me peace of mind and also knowing that I am going to be prepared (sort of) for the winter and also have the spring seeds to plant, will save money and help me to keep from a great deal of worry.

Using battery operated lights

Lately I have been seeing a lot of battery operated lights that look exactly like candles, and I think it’s a great idea. In fact, I’ve been thinking about putting these lights along the walkways in my gardens. I really like the look of them, and the great thing is, they don’t melt! I’ve done some research and they last a long time on a little battery and are so handy to have. Not only that, they really are pretty and a great addition to ambiance in the garden or anywhere else a person would like to use them instead of a real candle. If there is a breeze blowing outside, they don’t go out, which is another plus.

I’ve always loved candles, but the average tea light burns for only approximately four hours, at the most. You don’t have that problem with the LED tea lights. It seems like they last for a very long time. The great thing is that you don’t have to worry about fire, but they actually look just like the wax tea lights and give even a bit more light. Generally I end up always checking the tea lights I burn for fear of them getting too hot in the holders. These LED lights don’t get hot and they are much less dangerous than a candle fire burning.

There are a wide variety of battery operated lights to choose from, and some look like candles that are melted, which brings on an almost real candle appearance without the worries of candle wax getting all over the place. I’ve accidentally melted candle wax onto some pieces of furniture and I was never able to get off completely. I’ve also spilled candle wax on the carpet before and it is nearly impossible to get out. All told, I really want to get some of these lights. They would give me peace of mind, without giving up the look of a real candle.

Bamboo fencing and outdoor fountians theme

While looking for various theme ideas for the section of my back yard that I would like to make in to my own personal outdoor space, I came across bamboo fencing. I had never even thought to look at that type of fencing before, and I really like how it looks. I’ve always wanted a sort of tropical look in my gardens, and when I decided to make my own sitting area to meditate, read and just be alone, I wanted to fence it in, but none of the fencing I looked at was what I wanted.

Once I fence in my area, I’ll start putting in plants that look tropical, but can be grown in our area. I also have always wanted a couple of outdoor fountains, because the sound of the water makes for a really relaxing setting. I’d love to have moss as my ground cover also, but that is a project I have to work on and see if I can grow it. I’ve been looking at various fountains and I’d love to have matching ones, that have a flat back so I can put one on two sides of my fenced in area.

I’m really looking forward to this project, now that I’ve found the perfect fencing for it to come together. I know it’s going to take time, and will no doubt cost quite a few dollars to get perfect, but for serenity and relaxation, it will be well worth it.

Needing LA movers

Recently I got a long letter from my cousin Mere, who is moving back to Los Angeles and was looking for a reputable Los Angeles moving company, she told me in the letter. While reading what she had written, I received a blow by blow description of the “horrors” she had experienced, when she had used her first moving company while moving there the first time. She wrote practically a book about what happens to her belongings. After the fourth page, I was ready to go and move her myself.

My cousin did however find a LA movers finally that she seems happy with and who she seems to trust, yet she still is unsure of if she will use them. The way I figure it, if the company can give a estimate or even a quote on the price of moving belongings, and are reputable, I’d go with them. There aren’t too many out there, or at least in my area that I would trust.

It makes a difference when moving to have movers that know what they are doing and give a person peace of mind, because there is enough to worry about without worrying that something is going to happen with one’s things. When I asked Mere if she was going to use the one Los Angeles movers she had written about, she said she was now seriously thinking about it. I hope so, so I don’t get another horror story letter, once she is settled into her new place!

New bedding decor for RV

Am thinking about doing some home improvement in the RV. I use it as an escape to write, listen to my kind of music and just enjoy the fact that I own nice, comfortable and inviting things around me and to be honest, everyone knows that I need a break from it all now and then, and all I have to do is tell the family I’m going on a road cruise. They know that I’ll be in the RV but not going anywhere.

I am in the the RV right now, and sitting here, I notice the family has more respect for this and keep it nice too. Unlike how they act in the house, unfortunately. Since I bought this myself, my husband respects that it’s my escape. When we go on family trips or what ever, it is “ours.”  When it pulls into this drive way, my RV has turned back into my peace of mind and spirit.

I sleep in the master bedroom, and I have thought out what I want to do, and I’m sticking with the satin bedding in all of the sleeping places. In the summer the family insist that the satin bedding keeps them cool. I don’t sleep on satin sheets, but I do know my thread count in bedding. 😉 I’m going to have my own choice of sheets and stuff. Along with getting more homey stuff for the living room space. I’m looking for sites. I guess thinking turned into wanting to shop, which will turn into a new look for the RV and cooler family.
