Kids went to Camp Chateaugay and brought home some awesome summer camp pictures

First of all I had no idea what to expect with a summer camp for my two boys. I have two sons age eight and ten and they have never been to a summer camp before. But if you have two boys around that age you know that sometimes summer can seem very long as your nerves wear thin and your patience runs out. It’s not their fault it’s just, well they’re crazy boys and they need to get that energy out. So I bring you summer camp!

 

We looked around at a few camps online, checked out pictures, read reviews, talked to neighbors and checked on what kind of activities each one offered. We decided to go with Camp Chateaugay on one of the Adirondack Lakes in upstate New York after talking to the owners Hal and the assistant director Kirsten. They were both very nice, knowledgeable and had quite a bit of experience with both kids and camps.

 

Talking to the owners put my husband and I at ease and we took the kids up to the camp this past summer. They absolutely loved it and did not want to leave. They shared some of the awesome summer camp pictures that they had taken and it looked like they had an absolute blast. It was well worth the money spent in my opinion. I only wish I had found Camp Chateaugay a few years ago because if so it would have kept my sons busy with fun and kept me sane with some free time to get things around here done.

PeachSuite for Hotel Supplies

Having a close friend who owns a resort hotel, I have heard her often complain about not finding the supplies she needs, until she discovered PeachSuite Hotel Supply. She was thrilled at basically the “one stop shopping” online and the expert and helpful and sufficient way the company handle the costumers who are looking for their hotel needs.

Hotel Catering Supplies are a must, as the resort is on a Lake Front with a events like dinners in the banquet hall or even on the lawn when the weather is nice. It’s a great experience and my friend makes it as such, but she does need plenty of supplies and a reasonable price, since during the winter she often has to deal with business being slow. During the warm months, her place is packed and she wants the best so her customers come back. Buffet supplies are a must for her and it makes it so easy for folks to have a good time and also for her to mingle with the guests without the hassle of having the dinners served by employees.

Hotel Supplies are also a big thing to try and save money on, yet get a durable product that is good quality. Her resort is doing very well, and when she needs supplies now she knows where to get them!

Weekend mini vacation

The kids and I are planning on going to Devils lake this weekend. Contrary to the name, the lake doesn’t have grass around much of the lake, and it’s probably the only lake I will actually go swimming in. I have an aversion to seaweed and mucky bottoms, so since this lake has (as far as I’ve noticed) a hard packed sandy bottom.

I think my kids are looking forward to this little mini vacation. It’s going to be nice to get away for a little while, go swimming and just kick back. Usually we rent a small speed boat or a pontoon boat for a day, to go out and meander around the lake, then visit a favorite restaurant that is on the point, which we actually have to dock up to.

So far there has been a unanimous vote that we are leaving early on Friday morning, but I’m thinking that the kids won’t be ready until early afternoon. This generally is always the case. I don’t care, I just want to park myself on the beach and enjoy my time relaxing.
