Slow week

It seems like this week is just dragging by. Not that I really have anything special to do this weekend, but something might come up and for some reason, it just seems like it is taking it’s time getting  here. I did play out in my back gardens this morning and my pumpkins are all starting to get their color.  They aren’t very big this year, but they still look nice. I think I just might go out and do some digging and cut some flowers for some arrangements. Guess I’m just bored.

A busy week ahead

I don’t know what woke me up so early, but here I am at 5:00 wide awake and have been for awhile. I’ve got lots to do this week, including working in town and then lots of errands and appointments. I dropped my favorite camera and now have to have it repaired, if it can be. I don’t go anywhere without this camera and I’m hoping that it can be fixed. There is only one repair shop even remotely close to this area and this is NOT a digital camera, so I’m wondering if it indeed can be fixed. So between a lot of appointments and working my butt off, it’s going to be a busy week.

News depresses me

I listen to the noon news on television while I’m working, and the more I listen to what is happening in this world, the more bummed out I get. I’m sure a lot of people feel this way. I actually miss the 70’s when life seemed so simple and even though there was a lot going on in the media, there wasn’t so many terrible things happening. Between the economy now and the war, children being abducted and internet stalking…bullying, and all the bad news, I’d just rather not even listen anymore. I feel like going to live in the mountains, grow and raise my own food and ride a horse for transportation if needed. It’s like making it all sort of go away. (deep sigh) I’m off my rant…for now, anyway.
