Big Day for Football

Glen got tickets for the football game today, so we are heading out soon to do a little tailgating and watch an important playoffs game. I’m very bummed that it is raining this morning. I hope the rain stops before game time. We are supposed to met up with friends in the parking lot and grill some steaks. Hope the rain doesn’t ruin those plans. We are heading out with high hopes for the rain to stop and our team to win.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Did you go out and celebrate for New Year’s Eve?

We went to a party at the firehouse. It was mostly firemen and their wives. Glen’s brother is a volunteer fireman, so we sat with him and his wife and knew most of the rest of the people there anyway. The firemen had hired a local band to play and when they took their 15 minute band breaks we played some top hits on the jukebox. We danced all night!

The price of the ticket included a glass of champagne, so at New Year’s we all counted down the last ten seconds and yelled and kissed and toasted each other with our champagne.

It was probably the nicest New Year’s Eve I’ve ever had. I we all can say the same for the coming year, too. Happy New Year Everyone!
