Golf Clubs Closing

All around the nation, the economic impact of the recession has forced many tough decisions. One industry that has had its troubles is the golf course industry. Rising costs of the upkeep of the courses has driven up initiation fees. Membership in many courses has dramatically declined. It seems that not as many people are playing golf as before.

In the days when times were good, many courses were built. This has led to an oversupply of courses in some areas. I am sure that the balance between players and courses will soon even out. Golf is a great game and there will always be a place for it.
