The Biggest Loser

Now she even has an online fitness program to help motivate people to reach their goals and her site also offers Jillian Michaels Coupons which is always a plus when it comes to putting your money where your mouth is. I think I made a joke!

A Wrist Watch, Valentine’s Gift

It has been a few years since I’ve had a “sweet heart” to celebrate and buy gifts for on Valentine’s Day, which comes each and every year on February the 14th. But I do remember, years back, right out of high school, I had been dating the same girl for 3 years, things got pretty hot and heavy, marriage was discussed a few times, but it fizzled out and we broke it off, right after Valentine’s Day, and I had bought her a very nice watch, one of the well known Bulova watches, that she thoroughly enjoyed receiving on that day for lovers.

She always had an issue with being late, but never wore a watch, although she owned several of them, so I thought that a nice looking watch, presented to her with love on Valentine’s Day would encourage her to start wearing a wrist watch, therefore giving her the opportunity to get to places in a more timely fashion.

It was totally strange to run into her a few years back, she is now married with children, I noticed that she was still wearing that watch and she told me how she is still known as arriving late to the majority of her appointments and functions in her now extremely busy life with the kids and all that is involved with that lifestyle. Guess some people never change!

This two tone ladies Bulova watch is very similar to the one that she is hopefully still wearing to this day.

Tomatoes

Every spring I get so anxious after planting the gardens in the back, I can’t wait to see what will be popping up and how fast, and what seeds have been eaten by birds or squirrels and need re-planting. We have been granted a bunch of rain lately which has made things start off on a good foot and I am craving the tomatoes already. During the summer months I tend to put on a few pounds due to the high consumption of tomato sandwiches which are so easy to make and taste so good in the hot days of summer.

Vacation Time at The Bahamas

My oldest sister wants to take her husband and her son on Vacation to the Bahama’s and needs a little more extra cash to be able to do it on the date they would like to go. I told her to get onto the Internet and go to Vacationloan.com and check out their wonderful options for Vacation Loans. Our youngest sister has already been approved a year ago for a vacation loan, they have a 99% Approval rate up to $1,000 cash with no credit check at all.

Unemployment Issues

My sister’s husband was laid off of his job a few weeks ago and at the time he thought that it wasn’t too big of a deal, thinking that he could find something by the end of that week. Well surprise, surprise, things are rough all over and they are by no means in this boat all by themselves.I hope that they get their unemployment check soon, because with kids you never know when you will need to haul them off to the doctor or the E.R. and those bills can add up quick and who needs that extra added worry? Mothers and dads have enough to worry about these days with the price of gas and food and everything else for that matter.

Snowmobiling is a Blast!

We have gotten the first half way decent snow fall of the year, although it only amounted to a couple of inches and then turned to ice as soon as the sun went down. It would be nice to get a real good blanket of six inches or more, that would make the idea of dragging out the snowmobile and go for a nice long ride, we certainly have enough land to make a good time of some snowmobiling for several hours.

SLEDtv.org has some great snowmobiling videos that are always interesting to watch and learn from, their well established forum is always full of good stories and information about this sport that just isn’t get much attention, with our lack of a good snow fall so far this year. We still have over a month to go before spring comes back around and the farm will be getting way to busy to even think of taking a ride.

Small Businesses

Something that I recently discovered that I wasn’t even aware of was the opportunity for a business to take out a business/merchant cash advance and then have the ability to pay the loaned amount back by the taking of the funds from their future credit card transactions a little at a time, just as easy as that. What a good opportunity for today’s small businesses that are looking for a way to get their hands on some extra cash for what ever reason or need, with no credit check and a secure on line application process. With today’s tough economy every one is looking for a way to help with their financial situations and issues. With minimal paper work required and a 7% payback over a 12 month period, with flexible funding options, Onlinecheck.com is America’s Small Business Funding Experts, and can be a valuable tool for any type of business looking for assistance.

I have a friend that has just recently opened his own business and is all ready looking for ways to expand and that takes money, just like anything else. I was just talking with him the other week about his thoughts on taking out a loan, this type of loan wasn’t mentioned and I think that I will pass this web-site on to him to see if he thinks it would be something that he would be interested in. I think that it is something to definitely check into, you won’t know unless you try.

NYC Looking for Alternative Energy Sources

New York Mayor Bloomburg announced a plan to pursue alternative energy sources for NYC. The major thrust of this plan is to put wind turbines on the tops of buildings and bridges, and along the coastal shores or water of the Atlantic. The City has issued requests for proposals from interested companies and organizations to make this happen. The power grid servicing the NYC area has been overburdened and faulty over the years, with brownouts and blackouts happening more frequently as demand for electricity continues to increase.

New York experimented with wind power several years ago when it put a turbine on city-owned land at 34th Street and the East River, but found that technology at the time was not efficient enough to expand to other properties and it was abandoned.

Proposals can include plans to build wind-based, solar-based and water-based energy sources in New York and offshore as far as 25 miles into the Atlantic. this would be a great model for other major cities to follow. We will be following this closely to see if the results are worth adapting for this area in the future.

A Wake Up Call

I find it very disturbing that there are so many people who have let themselves go and have become grossly over weight. No one can deny the fact that when out in public the amount of people that you come across need to loss weight, and I’m not talking about the folks that could take off 10 or 20 pounds, but more the likes of needing to get rid of 50 to 100 pounds of blubber, ugh….While listening to the local news last night, I heard a new story that tells us that the numbers are in, statistics are now showing that 2/3 of the U.S. population are over weight! That is a ridiculous number and if that isn’t a wake up call, I don’t know what is.
