I want one of these

You know how a lot of homes have a sign in their yard with ADT or Brinks Security or one of the many other alarm systems that is installed in their home?  Well a lot of those homes still get broken into but I have found a sigh that just might help stop some of the home break-ins.

No matter if you like Ted Nugents music or not, I can’t argue with his philosophy when it comes to gun control.  I must warn you there are some pretty harsh words but I agree with him.  We have become too soft on repeat offenders.  Just listen with an open mind and maybe you’ll hear what he is saying.

Cyber bullying

Did you hear about the Missouri mother on trial in a landmark cyber bullying case was convicted of misdemeanor computer charges instead of felonies in a cruel  Internet hoax played on a 13-year-old girl who later committed suicide?  The federal jury couldn’t reach a verdict on the  conspiracy allegation against 49-year-old Lori Drew and rejected three other  felony counts of accessing computers without authorization to inflict emotional  harm on the girl.

Instead, the panel convicted her of three lesser offenses of just accessing computers without authorization. Each of those counts is punishable by up to one year in prison and a $100,000 fine.  Drew faced up to 20 years in prison if convicted of the four original counts.   What I don’t understand is why in the world would a 49 year old woman do such a thing?  It’s bad enough that kids go through bullying in school and everywhere else with other kids but a grown woman?  The whole world has gone absolutely stupid it looks like.

Safe boating

I grew up with water and boats being a daily part of my life.  Living in New Orleans, there is plenty of water to enjoy, fish, or what ever you like to do on the water.  I have also seen some terrible boating accidents too.  Being on the water can be fun and too many times, people want to ‘party’ on the water as part of their fun.  All too many times, that type of fun can turn into a tragedy in the blink of an eye.  We have laws against drinking and driving a car and a lot of states now have the same laws for operating a boat and drinking too.  I personally think this is a really good idea.

If you have ever seen a boating accident due to someone drinking, you’ll be glad there are Boating OUI laws too. Stop and think about it, in a car you have air bags, seat belts and all of that medal around you. In a boat, you don’t have any of those things so there is a very good chance that someone will drown from the accident. I’m one person who thinks this is a great law and hope that all states have it too. But that’s my opinion.

It’s about time I would say!!!

Anna Nicole Smith died over 2 years ago and finally they are doing something about it.  She died of an accidental drug overdose.  There were three people responsible for this tragedy that left a beautiful baby girl without her mother.  Howard K. Stern and two doctors all gave Anna Nicole Smith the drugs and all should be charged with her death.  They did arrest each of them but I’m not sure to what extent they were charged.

Shame on the doctors who gave this woman the amount of drugs they did.  Yes I know she needed something to help her through the loss of her beloved son just 3 days after she gave birth to her daughter.  That’s enough to make any woman lose it for quite awhile but these people should have helped her and not drugged her like they did.  I am so against “Just give them a pill and it’ll be better.”  Sometimes it does take a pill but it takes love more than a pill and Howard was supposed to love her.  Yeah, he loved her money and the fact that she was arm candy for him.

Bernard Madoff didn’t get what he deserved

Madoff went to court and whined and cried that he was ashamed of himself for what he had done.  Well guess what, I have no sympathy for him what-so-ever!!  He ruined so many innocent peoples lives and the worst part of it is that some of them have committed suicide because of what he did to them.  He should have been tried for murder too because he was the cause of those people dying.

I don’t know just how many people he took advantage of but he should have to have pictures of each and every one of them wall papered on his prison cell where he has to look at them every day.  He should also have to face each and every one of them so they can tell him what his greed has done to them.  He’s an old man and won’t have that many years to have to spend in prison so each day of it should be a lifetime worth of misery since he took so many peoples lifetime of savings.  But you know what, that’s my opinion!!!!

Did you hear about this dancer?

I know some people look down their noses at Exotic dancers but some young women are doing the best they can to support their children and after all, from what I hear, it does pay very well.  When I read this, it absolutely horrified me that someone would do that to someone else.

LOS ANGELES – An exotic dancer was set on fire outside the nightclub where she worked early Thursday, burning more than 60 percent of her body, police said. They were searching for two suspects. A woman and a man called the 27-year-old dancer outside around 1 a.m. and then doused her with a flammable liquid next to the Babes & Beer sports club in the San Fernando Valley, police said.

Police identified the suspects as Rianne Celine Theriault-Odom, 27, and Nathaniel Marquis Petrillo, 22, both frequent patrons of the club. They were being sought for investigation of attempted murder, police said. “Given the condition of this victim, they may be responsible for ultimately her murder,” Deputy Chief Michel Moore said. “This is a terrible, terrible attack.”

This is the mother of two children and there is no reason good enough for an attack like this on her.  I hope they find them and charge them with anything and everything they can.  They deserve to have the same thing done to them if you ask me.  What a horrible, horrible thing to do to any living creature but especially a human being.

I need to find out what washer this was

I was thinking about buying washer and dryers for the apartments but after reading this, I need to know what type of washing machine this was so I don’t buy one of them.  I’ll sure pay more attention to where the start button is when I do buy one.  I read this on msnbc.msn.com:

A 4-year-old girl in Southern California died after she climbed into a washing machine that began tumbling when her toddler brother hit its simple push-button start.

Orange County Sheriff’s spokesman Jim Amormino said Kayley Ishii apparently climbed into the front-loading washer Monday afternoon. Her 15-month-old brother either bumped or pushed the button to start the machine.

Amormino said the machine’s controls were only 20 inches from the floor and the start switch was a simple push button. The girl was in the water-filled, tumbling machine for at least two minutes before her mother found her.

An autopsy Tuesday found Kayley died of blunt force trauma and the death was ruled accidental.

If I was that child’s mother, you can bet I would be straight to a lawyers office and sue the manufacturers for all they are worth for wrongful death.

Life sure is funny sometimes

You know how you can be just going along minding your own business when all of a sudden something comes along and changes everything?  Do you know what I mean?  Well that’s sort of what happened today.  Here I am trying to get these four apartments finished so the people that work for me can move in and what do you know, a whole apartment building was offered to me to buy.

Now I’m not talking a bunch of money either.  I’m talking cheap, as in thousands and not millions like you would think.  Well I’m thinking about it but the first thing I’m going to do is have someone really check the place out and make sure it’s not someone else’s problem they are trying to put off on me.

Did you hear about this?

Terrence Dickson, of Bristol, Pennsylvania, was leaving a house he had just burglarized by way of the garage. Unfortunately for Dickson, the automatic garage door opener malfunctioned and he could not get the garage door to open. Worse, he couldn’t re-enter the house because the door connecting the garage to the house locked when Dickson pulled it shut.

Forced to sit for eight days on a case of Pepsi and a large bag of dry dog food, he sued the home owner’s insurance company claiming undue mental anguish.  Amazingly, the jury said the insurance company must pay Dickson $500,000 for his anguish. We should all have this kind of anguish.

My question is why wasn’t he arrested for breaking and entering instead of getting money for breaking and entering and getting stuck??  What is this world coming to?
