There are several children around me in need of eyeglasses before school starts back. I found $8 Rx eyeglasses and couldn’t believe my eyes. It’s true because I saw Zenni Optical on TV!!! For that price, I can get several children new eyeglasses for school. We have to help those in need so I say ‘High Five to Zenni Optical’ for making it possible.
I told you about Rachel and Jayce getting engaged, well lightening has struck again with another of my waitresses. She came in last night showing off her new engagement ring. She said her fiance was looking at engagement rings before Rachel’s was but finally found the perfect one for her after Rachel got hers.
I had to explain that getting engaged was not a race and should not be treated as one. I must admit she has an absolutely beautiful ring but the most important thing is that you love one another. A beautiful engagement ring is just icing on the cake.
Well Rachel and Jayce have decided to get married before the baby is born. I was tickled pink to hear that because I honestly was afraid he would skip town on her. Well that’s not going to happen for sure because he bought her a Tacori engagement ring. Have you ever seen Tacori engagement rings before? They are absolutely gorgeous and about the best value for your money of any engagement rings I have seen. Yeah, I’m the one that told him about them. Not many people know that I was engaged years ago. They all think I am just a spinster I guess.
See my man bought me a Tacori engagement ring before he went off to war in Vietnam when I was 18 years old. I felt like the most special woman in the world. Just imagine this handsome Marine in his dress blues on his knee asking me to marry him while holding the most beautiful engagement ring I had ever seen. It didn’t take me but a second to say “YES”. He left for Vietnam two weeks later and never came home. I never thought about marrying anyone else either.
JR Dunn sure knows his diamonds and especially what will make a girl feel like a princess because that’s exactly what the diamond ring from his store did for me. That’s not all his store carries either so you should check him out if you want your lady to feel special too.
I’m sure you can just imagine how very proud our whole family is of my niece graduating high school with honors. She’s not only a beautiful girl on the inside and outside but she has brains too. Beauty and brains, that’s a winning combination if you ask me. I wanted to give her something special for her graduation and Seiko Watches just happens to be one of my favorite things to give on special occasions like this. Not only are they useful, but they are of the finest you can buy. I wanted her to know just how proud I am and I think this watch will tell her just that.
She’s got a very bright future ahead of her and starts college this fall. Well a great time piece will help her to be on time for all of her classes and also show that she has class too. It took me awhile to pick out just the perfect Seiko Watch for her but when I found it, I knew this one was the one. She’s a very small and dainty girl but has also gotten over 5 deer too so she’s an all around kind of girl. What do you think of this watch I chose for her? I think it’s perfect.
Everyone knows that New Orleans is known for it’s Cajun food. Most everyone knows who Hank Williams is too and if not, they know who Hank Williams Jr. is. Well I found this video and could not believe what I was seeing and hearing. It’s of Hank Williams Jr. and his 5 year old son on stage. This little fella is playing a button accordion and singing his grandfathers song ‘Jambalaya’. I had to share it with you!! Enjoy!!!

Some of my employees were playing around with my computer and found this lady called “The Fruitcake Lady” and told me that I was on YouTube, that I had to come and see. Well that’s not really me but she sure sounds like me when she answers the questions people are asking her. She’s a pistol and full of it, if you catch my drift. Hang on because here she is!!!
This may seem like the wrong to open up a new restaurant but in the little Iowa town my sister lives in, there aren’t many family style restaurants. Oh sure there’s all the fast food restaurants but they do need somewhere a family can go and have a good dinner that won’t cost them an arm and a leg. She has already found the perfect location for her restaurant in a place that used to be a restaurant so they are really wanting to rent the building bad or sell it one. I think she’s going to rent it with option to buy if the restaurant takes off.
I’m not sure how it happened but I have several friends that are either in the Marine Corps or were in the Marine Corps. Well on this Memorial Day weekend, I just wanted to let all of the know just how much I appreciate all that they have done to give us and help us to keep the freedoms their brothers before them fought so hard to give us. So from me to all of you guys, Simper Fi and Thank you for everything. There is not a more handsome Marine than a Marine in his dress blues!!!
Far too many times we take our friends for granted. No one should ever do that. A true friend will be there when you need them even if it’s just to listen to you cry in the middle of the night because you lost your pet. A true friend will also help you out if at all possible when you need them either with money or just a hug. I am honored to say that I have many friends that I have accumulated throughout the many years of my life.
One of the most important things you can do for your friend is to let them know just what a difference they have made in your life. In fact, you should do that to anyone that has touched your life. You never know when they won’t be around anymore and the last thing you want is for them to leave this world without knowing they made a difference in your life so make sure to tell them today. Tomorrow may be too late because we are only promised right now. We never know when our time on this earth is through, do we?
