Fish Galore!

There was some good news for some American fisherman today when a group of experts announced that there were plenty of fish for everyone. Due to the new management systems that were put in place, fish stocks have risen and many species can withstand being caught in good numbers.

Overfishing is still a major problem for the rest of the world. Whether its whales or tuna, some species are in danger of being wiped out. Many countries rely on fish as a major food source and it would be nice if everyone could agree to limits that are acceptable as well as sustainable.

Caught a big one

Well our trip went well. I caught a really big Marlin, that took six hours to bring in. For those of you who do no tknow what a Marlin is, here is a picture of my big fish as I was fighting it.

This was just an amazing fishing trip. I never thought to catch one of these like this. He was five hundred pounds and mean as could be. You have to give a guy some props for that catch. You should have seen the look on my dads face when he got a look at it. I think he will be going with us on our next trip to the gulf coast.

Road trip

My buddy Kyle and I are taking a road trip to New Orleans. I know that it is way after Mardi Gras, but a little down time in the French Quarter will be good for us anyway. We also plan on a fishing trip in the Gulf while we are down there. That, in fact, is the main reason for the trip. Deep sea fishing for the win! I plan on bringing back a lot of fish for a big fish fry. Woot!
