Girly Things

Sometimes it is nice to step back and appreciate the girls for being girls. When you grow up with sisters, you probably take a lot of things for ranted. Then when you  just around a lot of guys, like in a college dorm, you start to understand that girls do a lot of nice things and you start to miss them.

I like the way girls fuss with their hair and makeup. I especially like nail polish on their fingers and toes. And they smell nice. I would much rather breathe deep and take in a nice floral fragrance from a girl than the smell of a dorm room with a bunch of guys dirty clothes, leftover food and stale smoke.

Paying A Debt

Since the kids will be out of school in a couple of weeks, it’s time to pay off a debt. I had told my children that if they got good grades I would take them on a vacation to wherever they wanted to go. As you can imagine, the kids did their part and now its time to do mine. The only decision left was where to take them. It wasn’t long before I knew the answer when I saw their computer on a page about resorts in Myrtle Beach.

I have taken the kids there before and we had a great time. They both love the water and playing in the sandy beach. I also know that many of their friends have plans to visit the beach as well. It seems to be a popular destination for all the kids at their school. It’s also a great destination for adults as well. I was checking out their golf packages and was very impressed with the values I found there.

My wife is all for the idea as she enjoys the beaches as well. She likes to read her books while lying in the sun and working on her tan. She also likes to window shop along the many stores that are in the area. I found out she was looking online for more information about the area. I am sure that we will all have a good time on our vacation this year.

The Fridge!!

One of the major intersections around our house is the refrigerator. It seems the kids are always in front of it and looking in. I have been known to open it and stare in myself. The thing is that I know for the most part what’s inside, but still hope to find a hidden morsel that will assuage my hunger. The fridge has many other uses as well.

We have many magnets on our fridge which hold any number of papers. Some are the kid’s school papers which have good grades on them and some contain semi-important phone numbers. Of course we have the usual amount of pizza places and Chinese take-out flyers. If you want something to be noticed, I think the best place to put it is on the fridge!

Hard work and money

One thing that always amazes me is how much money there is to be made in this world. Some people are just fabulously wealthy and are able to buy just about anything they want. I have always wondered about how they got the money they had. I have found a few friends that are doing very well and they suggested that I look into Stock Trading as a way to build my portfolio. It’s worked for them and they are sure that it will work for me too.

One thing that I don’t have is a lot of time. That’s why I preferred to start my investing career online. It is so much easier for me to stay at home where I am comfortable and work at my own leisure. I began Online Trading earlier this year and can say that I have been very happy with my results thus far. With a little studying and some hard work, I have been able to do very well with the money I had when I started.

One tip that I would like to disseminate to everyone is making sure that you can get help when you need it. I would suggest that you contact an Online Broker to help you through the rough spots. They can assist you with the terminology and a number of other tricks to help you get started. I am glad that my family will be able to rely on the gains that I have made. My financial security is getting better all the time and that makes me feel good!

Stuck Behind a School Bus – Ugh!

Now that school is back in session, my drive to work has gotten longer by at least 15 minutes in the mornings. So you would think that I should leave 15 minutes earlier and I will still get to work on time, right? Wrong! If I leave 15 minutes earlier, I end getting stuck behind a school bus. It is stop and go for a very very long time and that 15 minutes gets eaten up by the bus stopping at every corner to pick up kids. And you cannot pass the bus. There is no safe spot on my commute to pass a school bus. By the way, forget about the bus pulling over once in a while to let everyone pass – the bus driver does not give a hoot about the long line of cars behind him that can’t get by.

So now, for me to get to work on time, I have to leave my house 30 minutes earlier than I did over the summer when there were no school buses dragging down traffic. And then I end up arriving at work 15 minutes early. I sure could use that 15 minutes to sleep on some mornings. But no. I am at work early and there is no advantage to getting there early. It’s not like I can leave 15 minutes earlier or even take an extra 15 minutes longer at lunch. It is 15 minutes wasted or gifted to my boss. I’m screwed either way.

Passed

I was nervous over nothing, I stayed up most of the night studying and passed the test to get my CDL permit, I am now legally able to drive with a trainer on the highway. I am so ready to get out there and go get it. We are training in backing right now and I’m not so good at that I always worry about the trailer sticking out to far or backing into something or someone.

The biggst thing on the road

I love driving something bigger then anything on the road! I had a couple of problems in the beginning but once I got the hang of it I just wanted to keep going in fact I almost missed my exit in my excitement. I did the best on the simulator even though half the people in my class have more experience than me. I can’t wait to get back in the truck but for now we are doing book work to prepare us for the written part of the test. I am nervous about that I was never very good at tests, I guess that’s why I finally quit school. I can’t wait to get out there and see all of the places I’ve always wanted to visit.
