Memories

I was talking with my cousin the other day and we talked for quite awhile since it had been some time since we had a chance to catch up. He was telling me about one of his favorite hobbies that we happen to share. Golfing. We both like to golf when we can and are always looking for new courses to challenge us. When he told me about Golf Myrtle Beach, I was impressed by what I had heard.

One thing that he had done recently was go on one of his Myrtle Beach Golf Vacations. He loves the courses they have to offer and spends quite a lot of time playing. Since there are so many courses to play in that area, it is easy to find a good deal by taking advantage of one of the many Myrtle Beach Golf Packages that are available. Any true golfer would jump at the chance to play the courses he wanted and my cousin did just that.

The best part about the thing was that he invited me to join him when I could. I was happy join him for a few rounds of Myrtle Beach Golf and we had a ball. We enjoyed the sunshine and good weather while we played our way through to the 18th hole. I am glad I was invited as it will always be a special memory for me!

Welcome Danica

It seems that the NASCAR family will welcome a new driver next year. While that is not always unusual, it will be when fans learn it will be a woman. Danica Patrick who hails from the Indy racing league will attempt to compete with the big boys by entering the ARCA Series. She hopes to eventually earn a license that would allow her to compete in the NASCAR Series. I am sure the all her fans are waiting to see her make the big time and we all wish her the best of luck.

New Toys

Its funny how word gets around when a good deal is found. Whenever a store has a good sale on something, I usually hear about it. A similar thing happened to me the other day when my buddy Greg told me about what a bargain it is when you switch to Direct TV. He told me all the details and I was impressed with what I heard. He said that it’s a bargain when you compare it to cable.

My old cable company hadn’t really lived up to my expectations so I listened to what he had to say. DirectTV is known for having HD on its channels. This means that you get more than just a show, you get an experience. My old cable company couldn’t offer me that and so I listened even closer. They also provide their services for a very reasonable price. When you look at all the channels they have, that’s more than you could ask for.

You would think that these two items would have sold me, but there was even more. Knowing my passion for sports, Greg informed me of the wonderful sports coverage that you can get from Directv. That was enough to sell me and I switched right away. Now that I have done so, I couldn’t be happier with my decision. If fact, I am headed home now to enjoy the rest of my day with my new toy!

The Macy’s Parade

One thing we have to look forward to every year is the Macy’s parade. Watching all the floats go by is always fun for me as I like to be reminded of the many characters that have taken a place in our lives. I also like to hear the marching bands that fill the air with their joyous music.

One thing that will be different this year is the fact that the parade route will change. Instead of going down the main street of Broadway, the parade will take a more circular route that will end at the flagship Macy’s store at Herald Square. I hope the balloon handlers and marching bands will be able to negotiate the new route. If not, it may be fun to see what happens.

I was talking with one of my favorite neighbors the other day and was saddened to learn that he is moving. It seems that he was offered a job opportunity that he could not turn down. He has already found a place to move into and asked me for advice on which was the best place to find a good deal on his cable TV. That’s when I told him about a great website called mytvoptions.com.

Many people believe that cable TV is the only option they have. I like to introduce them to the Direct TV option. By taking advantage of this service, they can not only receive the best shows, but they can also get a lower price for their TV needs than is usually possible. There are many benefits to having Directv as their first choice. I’ll explain some of the benefits below.

To use an example of my neighbor, I will say that we sign up for Direct TV in Florida. Now my friend has access to many of the best premium movie channels. He will receive them in HD. He also has the best sports channels and packages available, along with awesome local channels and even international channels as well. I am sure that everyone will agree that getting a good deal on your TV service is important. I hope you will consider this option as my neighbor did.

Winnie the Pooh

It seems that after 80 years, there is a new Winnie- the-Pooh book out. After the original author A.A. Mills wrote his famous novel about the bear and his friends, there is now a sanctioned sequel out with new adventures. I must say that I am looking forward to reading this book and enjoying more adventures of this wonderful bear. I hope it is as good as the critics say it is!

Letterman’s Folly

I guess by now most people have heard about the difficulties that TV host David Letterman has been having. It seems that someone attempted to extort money from him to cover up an affair. Letterman had admitted that he has had some affairs with some unnamed women. The whole thing came to light on one of his late-night shows.

I thought the whole thing seemed kind of ridiculous. The incident ended with David passing a fake check for two million dollars. The blackmailer was arrested after trying to cash it at the bank. I hope that Dave has learned his lesson and will try to behave himself in the future.

Music and fun

There are several things my family likes to do. We all enjoy listening to music and we love to travel as well. Whenever possible, we like to put the two together for a great time. It’s not as hard to do as you might think. I know a few tricks that can help make it easier to plan out a trip. There is a site called acheapseat.com that enables you to find tickets all over the country for a variety of events.

Recently, we packed up our things and headed for Ohio to visit my sister. Since we were in the area, we thought we might as well see a concert while we were there. I managed to find Blossom Music Center Tickets for a major rock show that would be held during our stay. We had to take two vehicles for us all to fit in, but it was worth it all as we had a blast.

Another example of this is when we were in Pittsburg. This time was a little different as we went to a hockey game. I was able to obtain Mellon Arena Tickets and put them on my office account. The best part was that we were right down by the glass so we saw all the action. That was a great time.

On our latest trip, we all packed into the car and headed to Florida. I wanted to take my son to a ballgame, so I found some LandShark Stadium Tickets and got a ticket for both of us. We enjoyed the game and almost caught a foul ball. All in all, we always have a great time when we are traveling. It’s good to take advantage of the local events while your there. After all, fun is where you find it.

All that stuff!

One thing we have a lot of is knick knacks. You know the things that we put on our shelves and seem to accumulate over the years. We have many kinds of things including but not limited too; candles, snow globes, figurines, rubrics cube, vases, and more! All these things are reminders of some place we visited or are gifts that we have received.

The bad part is that they are beginning to get in the way as we have too many to handle. I think I’ll pack some into boxes and out them in storage. The next bad thing is that it will only leave room for more! I’m sure that were going to need more shelves!

Wiki and I

One of the websites I take advantage of most is Wikipedia. It’s an online encyclopedia that is very useful at times. There is a lot of debate about the site because of the fact that just about anyone can add or subtract from it. It is written by people who have an interest in the subject and hopefully have some expertise.

I think it’s a great site. It is easy to use and contains information on almost every subject. I use it at work a lot and have found it to be a good source. I know that there are those who disapprove of its use, but I say it’s always worked for me!
