Helping a Friend

Everybody knows that the one thing I love is cars. I like looking at them and comparing the different types. That’s why I am frequently asked to help my friends when they are considering buying a new or used car. It seems that I have become the office expert. My friend don was interested in purchasing a car and he asked me what I thought. I told him I would help if I could.

The first car that always comes to my mind is the chevy. They are American built cars that are of a high standard. The one I am in love with recently is the Chevrolet Cruze Lt. It’s a nice piece of machinery that makes economic sense in this day and age. I like its style and looks and I think Don would look good driving it around.

There are other cars that I like as well. One that I really like is the Saab 9-3 Aero Convertible. It has what it takes to make the driver feel good about driving. There is one last car I should mention and that is the Subaru Legacy 2.5Gt. I like this vehicle as it has many options that are available and would be a great car for anyone. I liked helping Don make his choice and I hope I can do more of this type of thing in the future.

Good ideas for the Yard

One thing that we all love is our home. We take a lot of pride in how it looks and the things we have in it. Everybody has their own ideas, but somehow we all agree in the end on how it should look. The space out back is a point of pride for us as we all have incorporated our individual ideas into it. My daughter cane up with a good idea as she introduced us to rain chains. They are a wonderful addition to our backyard.

My daughter was at a friend’s house when she first saw them. They are chains that you hang down and they catch the water from the rain and the water runs down them forming a beautiful sight. She told us about it and we all thought that having a rain chain was a good idea. It has worked out great and we all like it.

There are many kinds of chains to choose from and we choose the one we liked the best. It fits our style and the Japanese rain chain was the one we choose. Now that our backyard is almost complete, we can all relax and enjoy it. I am looking forward to the next good idea to make our yard look better.

My Love

One thing that I really value in my life is my wife. She is everything to me and I can’t imagine being without her. She is always by my side and is a partner as well as a lover. She is a mother to my children and a mom who takes care of the many things that need to be done. That’s why I always make sure I get her something for Valentines Day. I want her to know how special she is to me. The question always seems to be what to get.

I was thinking about getting her some jewelry, but she already has plenty of that. I know that she received many outfits for Christmas and so that is out of the question as well. I went online to get some ideas and settled on getting her some candies I thought she would enjoy. She loves chocolate and that is always a safe bet.

The other thing I was thinking about was writing her a short note. I want her to know exactly how I feel about her and want to put it down in words. I know my words will be feeble, but I mean everything I say. The only words that are good enough are “I love you”!!

Bob Knows

One thing I love to do is to talk with all the people who work at my office. They are an incredible group of people and they have many talents. Some excel at different things than others, but they all have something they are good at. One guy I was talking to the other day was named Bob. He has a talent for knowing what it takes to make money over the internet. He has a couple of businesses on the side that bring him in the extra income he needs.

Bob was telling me what it takes to make a business go. He said the first thing you needed was a good product and the next thing you needed was an Advertising Agency. He says that getting the word out about your product was a key to making a new business grow. Getting customers is difficult unless you get your name known by the general public. He promised me that an Advertising Agency was the way he made his businesses a reliable source of income.

I like listening to Bob as he always seems to know what he is talking about. He has been there before and learned the hard way. He is very intelligent and if he says that an Advertising Agency is the way to go then I believe him. I have been planning to start my own online business and any advice I get is welcome. Since Bob has been there before, I take what he says as the truth. I am glad I talked with Bob and I will take his advice!!

Busy Life, But I Still Get to Watch What I Want

These days it is a rarity to actually be able to set down and enjoy the satellite TV from DirectStarTV.com that we have in our household. Between work, kids, chores, and everything else it is hard to get to watch TV at all some days. Then when we do actually set down, there is nothing good on. I used to think that TV was a waste of time. Over the years, I have really come to appreciate the fact that TV is a great way to relax. That is if there is something on that you love to watch. For me, I have always loved the show Loony Tunes. Yeah, I know it sounds a bit silly for a forty something male to still watch cartoons. However, this is just my little piece of childish fun in a world full of chaos. The only thing is, how often do you ever see this on. A few weeks ago my wife bought a DVR for my birthday. I did not quite get why at first but now I know. I can use my DVR to record my all time favorite show and then watch it at anytime of the day, or night, that I wish. This was probably the most thoughtful gift that I have ever received.

New Year’s Eve in Times Square

Since I live in the suburbs of northern New Jersey, I always go to Times Square for New Year’s Eve. I make sure to take the day off from work and leave my house by one in the afternoon. I bundle up because being in New York City for an entire day in December is so cold. Some years I swear that it feels like icicles form on my face. Once I am dressed for the occasion, and the weather, I feed the animals, set my home security alarm from Security choice and head out for the train station. The ride into the city on the train is always exciting. People are in such a festive mood and groups of people will start singing and dancing. That is not something you usually see on a train into New York City. New Year’s Eve is my favorite holiday just for this very reason. The joy of the holiday season becomes infectious and everyone is just trying to have the best possible time. I usually meet up with a group of people at Penn Station and we have a day full of activities setup. I like to walk past Macy’s and the famous Christmas display which is usually still up. Then we all head to Times Square to get ready for the ball drop. The countdown is my favorite part.

Cool gifts

Since Christmas is over, everybody has had time to check out the gifts they got for Christmas. Some gifts are always better than others and that is the case as well this year. My kids got the best of the bargain as my son really enjoys the video game boxhead 2. He has played it constantly and it’s hard to get him to come to dinner.

My daughter also struck it rich when she received the game called age of war. She really likes it a lot and it is surprising that she likes such a game as that. I have been enjoying my gifts as well. I got some golf clubs that I am dying to try out as soon as I can get away to the golf course.

My wife also has been sporting some of the jewelry she received for Christmas. She is glad everyone liked their gifts and has been busy blogging for money on the internet. She plans to use some of the money she makes to buy birthday gifts for the kids as they will be here soon. All in all, everyone’s more or less satisfied with their gifts. It was a great Christmas and I hope that next year’s Christmas goes as well as this one did.

Happy New Year to All!

I just wanted to wish everyone a happy new year! The last year was a little tough as far as the economy is concerned but I am convinced that things are turning around. I hope that everyone will have a great year and do all the things they want to do.

I am happy that everyone in my family is healthy and doing fine. I hope we can continue the trend this year. I have a feeling that this year will be a lot better than the last and I hope is for everyone else as well.

Healthy and Happy

The way we look is always important. It helps us or hurts us everyday. It defines who we are and how others look at us in the world. It happens that some people have a problem with their weight. It can be very difficult to deal with at times when we want to change the way we are. The good news is that there are ways lose weight easily and quickly.

There is someone in my family who struggles with this problem. She is a wonderful women but her weight affects her general well-being. One way she deals with the problem is to use diet pills. I know that some people object to their use, but they can be safe and effective when used properly. They are not as bad as they have been made out to be. I am glad that those members of my family can receive guidance when they need it and have a healthier happier life.

Setting up the Tree

One thing our family did this week was to set up our Christmas tree. We had gotten the tree at a local stand and brought it home. Everybody lent a hand in getting it set up and we got out the decorations. We put all the lights on as well as the tinsel. Then we started with the bulbs.

After we had worked for awhile, the tree started to take shape. I held my youngest up on my shoulders so that she could crown the tree with a star. When we were done, the tree really looked good. You can even see it through the window from the street. I love this time of year and hope everyone else does as well.
