A House Is a Home

We are always looking for ways to improve our house. One of the main features of any home is its furniture. Anyone who walks through the door will make an instant decision about the owners. The style of the furniture in a home tells a lot about the occupants and the way they like to live. That’s why it’s important to us to have contemporary furniture in order to tell people a little about ourselves.

My wife and I were looking to improve our standard of living. One easy way of doing this was to purchase new furniture. We wanted to redo our bedroom and were deciding what to do. We looked around the market and decided we knew what we were looking for. We both agreed that having modern bedroom furniture would be the right thing for us.

We also knew that we would have to upgrade our children’s room. Since the rooms were a little smaller than we would like, we wanted to save some space. We thought that by utilizing platform beds, we could do just that. We were right and now our kids have a lot more space for their toys and clothes. I am glad we made the decision to improve our home as we feel much better about the place.

Like I have told you before, I love gadgets. The only problem is I hate to buy them when they first come out because that’s usually when they have all the ‘bugs’ in them. Then you’ve spent your hard, very hard sometimes, but hard earned money on a dud. I work to hard to buy a dud, know what I mean? I like to find reviews of new products so I have a little better idea that they’re what they say they are. You know, they do what they’re supposed to do and are worth going out and buying it.

I came across this web site that gives you a guide on the Hottest Products. It’s called PLR Membership Sites and even though you have to be a member, it’s worth it to get an accurate product review. There are sites on just about everything from A to Z. Some that caught my eye were Alternative & Renewable energy, Customer Service Software, Dating on the Internet, Foreign Languages, and even Grants Directory.

A secure feeling

Anybody who knows me knows that one of the most important things to me is my family. I feel obligated to make sure they always come first in my life and are protected from any harm. Newlyweds

The good news is that my daughter was recently married. The bad news is that she will be leaving town with her new husband. The newlywed couple is moving to Connecticut and they will be starting a new life together there. We will all miss seeing them on a regular basis, but it’s what they want to do. We thought we would try to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Hard work and money

One thing that always amazes me is how much money there is to be made in this world. Some people are just fabulously wealthy and are able to buy just about anything they want. Tiles

Whenever I get the chance, I like to work around the house. I am always looking for new tasks to do so that I can keep busy while improving my home. An excellent opportunity came up recently when my wife suggested that I try to install tiles on the bathroom floor. Our old floor was that cheap laminate that was getting pretty ratty looking. I thought this would be a great job to take on.

The first thing we had to decide was what type of bathroom tiles we wanted. I was lucky to find a site on the internet that was really neat. The site is called glasstilestore.com and it has a nice selection of tiles to choose from. I never knew there were so many types of tile. I even found subway tiles on the site. I knew it would take some time to figure out what tiles we wanted.

Another thing I liked about the site was the fact that we were able to learn all about the advantages of using tile in our home. That certainly made our decision to install tile much easier. I am eager to get started on the project and hope that we will soon have a beautiful new bathroom floor. I know my wife and kids will enjoy it as well.

3D TV

One thing we have all been hearing about lately is the new 3D technology that has been spouted as the latest craze. Before we get too excited about it though, we need to look at some of its drawbacks. The first major drawback is the money that will be needed to purchase the new TV that is required. Our old TVs won’t be able to work with the new technology and will have to be replaced.

Another drawback will be the necessity of wearing 3D goggles to view the shows produced. That may be uncomfortable as well as a turnoff. There are still more problems with the technology that will occur. In order to redo the thousands of shows for 3D will be problematic for studios as the process to update the shows is difficult and time consuming. My opinion is that this is a technology that will not catch on anytime soon!

Are There Safe Dog Treats Anymore?

About a year ago, I was devastated to find out the my dog’s favorite treat in the whole world, chicken jerky, was killing dogs. We found out that the treats were being made in China and the Chinese were adding something to the treats and other pet food that was poison to dogs. Everyone looked to the FDA to find out what was going on and to stop it, but the FDA didn’t seemed to worry about it, as it was dogs being poisoned, not humans.

Everyone eventually stopped buying the chicken jerky treats and passing the word along to other pet owners about the thousands of dog deaths and the stores stopped selling it. Notably, WalMart was one of the very last retailers to stop carrying the poisoned dog treats. That kinda pisses me off in itself. WalMart should have been the first to raise hell with the Chinese and make them clean up their act. But, no.

I have now become suspicious of any dog food or dog treat that is not made in the USA. I was OK with the fact that dog treats are made from the less desirable parts of the animals and that it was not human grade food going into the pet food and treats. But poison? No.

Have you found any dog treats that are made in the USA and are similar to the chicken jerky treats that we used to buy? I have seen some knock offs, but they are lying on the label, saying they are made in the USA when they are actually just packaged here. The poisoned dog treats are just being put in different packaging and using deceptive wording on the label to make you believe that they are not made in China. I’m too smart to fall for that bull shit.

I have money I am willing to spend on an American made, safe dog treat. Why isn’t someone making them and selling them?
