He paid a record amount of money for one blue fin tuna that cost him about $736,000 dollars. He had the winning bid at an auction at the Tsukiji fish market.
The owner of the restaurant paid the record breaking price saying that he wanted his customers to enjoy the fish. These fish are ready to be put on the endangered species list and are on the verge of being fished to extinction. I hope his customers enjoy the meal.
