Tax Time, it’s the Right Time

It has always been a good idea to donate your used vehicle to the different charities that are looking for donations. These days they have even started to accept more things than ever to donate, such as airplanes and even your unused/unwanted time shares, which I think is a pretty cool deal.

The numerous vehicle donation programs are always looking for donations, especially this time of year, since we are all in the mind set of taxes at this point, it is a good time to consider donating what you can for next year’s tax filing process, for a nice write off, and helping others that need your donations for support in many ways.

Protecting Mother’s Wedding Dress

I’m thinking of digging out my mother’s wedding dress, that has been in a chest, at the foot of the bed, in one of the upstairs bedrooms and giving it to my sister to have and to hold. While I am in there I am going to look for platinum wedding rings that I was told were in there as well. We have already agreed that I will keep these rings, at least for now. They will be placed in mother’s jewelry box, along with a few other key pieces of jewelery that we want to keep in the family.

But before I do all of that I want to look at some different types of garment bags, so that I can give the dress to her fully protected, safe and secure.

I never knew that there was so many different types of these protective products to choose from but I think I found the perfect one, made specifically made for a wedding dress such as this one is and have ordered it this afternoon and am guaranteed same day shipping, so it should arrive promptly for me to turn over to her the next time she visits me and the farm.

Perfect Match Required

The larrivee guitar that I ordered should be arriving any day now. I swear I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning to hurry up and arrive. I haven’t purchased anything like this for myself in a very long time and it is exciting. I have Uncle Sam to thank for this much anticipated purchase.

While waiting for the delivery I have been looking at a sweet looking THD amp and have made arrangements to order it as soon as I have my new guitar in hand and can make sure that it is a perfect match.

Thank God For Pam

I really don’t know what I’d do with out my Pam cooking spray. I used it every single time I start to cook something and I can’t imaging cooking without it. I love that it comes in so many varieties.

Paper Less World, Ha!

Something that I over looked when I took over the place was the amount of paper work that would be involved in running a farm. Paper work and I are not on the best of terms these days, I’m so tired at the end of the day these past few months, that I find it hard to stay up after getting a bit to eat and shuffling papers around. Thank goodness for the Internet, they have really wonderful programs to help with today’s bookkeeping needs, but we still need to use and rely very heavily on our paper supply!

There is still a great need to correspond via the US Postal Service and I wish that I had taken the time to order some decent return address labels that I could just slap on all the envelopes that leave my desk each week. I’m tired of writing by hand, over and over, the name and the return address. So I think that the next time I go online for my personal use I will start looking for some deals on some nice quality but affordable return address labels. It shouldn’t be that big of deal.

The Perfect Pens

It just seems to me that if you are going to spend money to advertise your business that you would give a little thought into making the decisions on what you want to say about you and your business. There are so many marketing options out there in today’s highly competitive business world.

One concept that has been around for ever is giving away pens that have your company’s information on them. I have so many pens and pencils here that my parents collected over the years that they lived here on the farm. They were here for a very long while and got to the town grow throughout the years, so it’s no wonder they accumulated so many writing utensils from all over the county. I have weeded out the real old crappy ones these past couple of years. It amazed me to find so many that didn’t work or were of very poor quality that it made writing with them a real chore.

But that is just my opinion.

Lap band seems to become a very popular way for people to reduce their weight, which is a good thing all the way around. Cheap Ink

Since I don’t the chance to go into town as often as I’d like to. I don’t want to go anywhere if I can help it. It’s a good thing that I can get a lot of what I need delivered right to my door by ordering items via the Internet. I don’t do a whole lot of printing here at the farm but just like anyone else, it seems that our inkjet cartridges are always running out and we are always looking for cheap ink to keep our printing needs in check.

Surfing the net I ended up at a site that offers a wide variety of surgical scrubs for sale. We all have been seeing a lot more folks wearing some unique scrubs that have come on the market these past few years. The days of our medical personnel only wearing  those awful white medical lab coats are long over with. Television Service Providers

With so many Direct TV Options available with their program packages, you can’t go wrong with choosing them for your television viewing needs and pleasures. I’ve switched over to DirectTV satellite since coming back home to the farm, my parents had been relying on cable for so many years that I figured the place was due for an upgrade.
