A New Drill Press Vise On The Top Of My Wish List

Well it looks like I know what I am going to ask Santa Claus to bring me this year. I don’t have the money in my budget for a new drill press vise, so for all the folks that keep asking me what I want for Christmas I can honestly give them a good idea for something that I want and need and will use and will really appreciate this year.

So instead of the same old gift basket(s) crap that usually finds its way to me (people just don’t use their imagine or brains much anymore when it comes to buying gifts for guys) just maybe I’ll get a real man’s gift a tool, or at least the money or a gift card that can be used to buy one, the right one.  This is a tool that I depend upon quite a bit these days with all the work that this place demands of me. It’s a good thing that I don’t need it right away for anything right this moment and I can only hope that nothing comes up in the mean time that warrants the urgent need for one, but one never knows now do they?

Basket Fillers

Stopped by Wal-Mart this afternoon to see if they had any early gardening supplies, but they are a little slow to stick their garden center and I came away empty handed. However, I decided to check out a few other items while I was there, and I found a few things to add to my basket. They have a new aisle of cheap crap that sells for $1 or $2 and they called “Basket Fillers.” That made me laugh – these poor Wal-Mart shoppers are so in need of direction that the Evil Wally Empire has started labeling things with suggestive names. Think you’re finished shopping? No – your basket is not full enough. You need some basket fillers – go over there and get you some.

I did pick up a pair of pajamas for my nephew. He is a Star Wars fan thanks to Uncle Adam, and there were some new PJs with Start Wars characters on them. My nephew is 6 years old, so I guess he’ll wear a six 6. I don’t know – how am I supposed to keep up with what size clothes everyone wears? At the checkout lane, the cashier looked a little frazzled, so I tried to cheer her up. Fridays and Saturdays have got to be the busiest days at Wally’s World of Wonder. I made a couple little jokes while she was ringing up my items and couldn’t get a smile out of her. Then she picked up the size 6T PJs to find the price tag and I asked her if she thought those PJs were the right size to fit me. That made her laugh – finally.

Webhosting Options For Blogging

My 12 year old niece is pestering me to help her get her own blog up and running. She is always checking this blog when she has time on her laptop and really likes the idea of having a blog, so I’ve been spending a little bit of time here and there with her on this issue.  We have both been reading up on the web hosting sites that are available out there for folks like us. We don’t need anything fancy or frilly, but when it comes to webhosting it pays to do your homework a bit before diving in.

One article that we both read was regarding the Top Five Affordable Registrars, I was glad to see that Go Daddy and Yahoo were on their list as those are the two that I tend to lean towards to. Both are affordable, well known, well established and dependable, which are all good points to go on. I really had no idea that there were so many out there these days, things have gotten a bit more complicated than I remember, but we are still researching and will come to a decision by the end of next week. Then I’ll be busy teaching her all the ins and outs of blogging, sigh……..

Dollar Stores

Of all of the stores that have the “Dollar” included in their name such as: The Dollar Store, General Dollar, and The Dollar Tree, I have to say that The Dollar Tree is the best by far. You can count on only finding items that are really $1, if the price is any different it is because it is 2 or 3 for $1, not anything over the $1 and that is that. The other stores have so many items that are more than the $1 and it just gets on my nerves, it is almost like false advertising in my mind anyways.

I find it interesting how by watching The Tonight Show, I hear Jay Leno mentioning their 99 cent stores that they have on the west coast, comparable to our $1 stores, how come theirs is one cent cheaper? That is the only thing that I have ever heard of that is cheaper in California!

Luck

I can’t begin to believe my luck.  I found a 48 inch flat screen TV for $40 at an online yard sale site that I look at now and then.  Now I just need to find a flat panel stand that I like at a good price too.  What I really want is a custom one that I can match to my needs, my taste as well as my budget.

WoW Accounts

BuyMMOAccounts.com is the perfect place to sell or buy cheap wow accounts, which is a high end secured company with World of Warcraft accounts since 2007, that has a good website to visit if you are into these types of products, and are located in Alberta, Canada.

They are one of a very few account retailing companies that provide live phone support 7 days a week for your convenience.

Mesothelioma Issues

I have to say that I don’t know all the much about the much talked about this Mesothelioma Disease that a good amount of people are having to deal with these days. I do know that there seems to be a lot of commercials for Mesothelioma Attorney practices advertising their Mesothelioma Lawyer services for people to take advantage of.

I just recently found out that a neighbor has been in contact with one of these practices. It seems that he was in the Navy back in the Vietnam days and spent some time on a submarine, which is where he contacted this disease. He has been experiencing symptoms for years and had no idea what the cause of these symptoms was until just a few years back. I’m glad that he found out about this condition and is taking action and could possibly get some money to help with the situation. Our Vets deserve all that they can get for what they did for us and our country.

Takes Money To Make Money

So many people have been telling me that I should start using eBay to sell off some of the stuff around here that I don’t have a need for. Either that or have a couple of yard sales, to be honest holding a yard sale would be nothing but a major pain in the rear. I don’t have the time to gather, sort, fix, price and all the other necessities that are needed in order to have a yard sale.

My sister is going to come over in the next couple of days to assist me in getting an eBay account started and show me what all it takes to get a few items put on there to start out with. I really need to buy some sort of scale that I can weigh the items with for shipping and handling purposes. I thought we had one around here but darned if I can put my hands on it, so I’ll just go ahead and purchase one. After all it takes money to make money, right?

New Pennies

For years there have been rumors about the possibility of the Government discontinuing the production of pennies. They say with the cost of living going up and up, that pennies should become obsolete. I’ve never agreed with that presumption and think that pennies will always have a place in American society.Today I read an article that the Government has come out with new designs for the penny. That’s quite a 180 from never making any more to coming out with 4 new designs!

I haven’t seen any of these new pennies, not sure if they are out yet or not. From what I understand people are hanging on to their pennies, being led to believe that in a few years the pennies older than 1986 will be worth a lot more than one cent. I’ll believe it when I see it, in the mean time I’ll keep adding pennies to my penny jug, the same one I’ve been dumping them in for years.

What Is The Best Debt Relief Plan?

Most of us are still reeling from the recent turn of events with the economy, well I guess it isn’t all that recent, this has been going on for over 5 years now. And it is most unfortunate that there really doesn’t seem to be any form of light, what so ever, at the end of this long dark tunnel.

There is a lot of debt relief advice out there that we have all heard from friends and relatives, co workers, neighbors, at church, in magazines, books, lawyers, credit companies and of course it’s all over the Internet. From what I gather there really isn’t a quick fix or a one size fits all plan that fits everyone in every situation. What I would do, as I do with most advice, I read and listen, ask a lot of questions and then take what I want from it all, use what I can, toss out the rest with the garbage while hoping and praying that I’ve done a good job with all that I have. The rest I leave in God’s hands.
