Have a chance to go to the movies. Not sure which one I want to pay to see on the big screen. I really want to watch Avatar, but should I see the 3 d version or the regular version? Should I pay extra to watch it on the IMAX screen or just the regular version? I can’t decide. If I just watch the regular version and save my money, I can probably save enough from this one to pay for a second regular movie next weekend.
Approaching Holidays
With the holidays fast approaching us, it makes me wonder what all I am in store for. This will be such a bittersweet time for the family with out our folks being around to celebrate them all with us. Last year was the first year without them and it was a rough time all the way around. I can only hope that this year people will be able to lighten up a bit, all things considered.
Expense Issues
This year has been so very difficult for so many people and it’s a shame that things aren’t picking up fast enough for most. I’m afraid that this year’s holiday season will fall short, big time, of so many people’s expectations. Retail is going to be crazy with sales and promotions trying to squeeze any dollars that they possibly can out of “Joe Public” and people are going to be looking for bargains more than ever. I’m glad that I don’t have a large amount of people on my list that I need to buy for this Christmas and I plan on doing as much purchasing online as I can.
There are so many times that we need some additional cash in between paychecks. And the need generally arises quickly so it’s good to know that there are places like second wallet cash advance that you can turn to and receive a cash loan within an hour’s time. At eSecond Wallet, they offer a no faxing and no credit check cash advance to provide financial aid to folks that are in need of some fast cash. I’m sure that Christmas will be one of those times of need for plenty of the general public.
Yesterday was Mother’s Day
Yesterday was a rough day for me. I took flowers to the cemetery – a bouquet of white daisies and red roses, my mother’s favorites. I stayed, sitting on a bench near her grave for about an hour, thinking about her life, and how different my life is now that she is gone. I watched other people come and go to their own family grave sites and leave flowers and said hello to a few of them as they walked by.
I tried to get my sister to go with me, but she wouldn’t go. She said she gets too emotional at the cemetery. I really would have appreciated the company, but I told her I understood. I’m glad the weather was nice, and the cemetery was pretty, so at least it wasn’t all wet and gloom, but still it was a rough day.
Mother’s & Father’s Day
This year these two up and coming dates will have a tremendous impact on the whole family, since the death of both of our parents is still so new. No holiday is or will be the same for some time to come, but we are all trying our best to deal with the bitter sweat memories that holidays deal us that are dealing heavily with our loses.
Fleas are Ready
With so many animals around the house and farm, flea control is a big issue. With the warm weather coming up ahead the fleas are ready to invade at any moment and I want to be ready and on top of the issue. The Internet has come into play, once again, with good dog flea treatment information that has given me good ideas concerning these cruel pests that drive the farm dogs and cats absolutely crazy each season.
New Jersey = Liberty & Prosperity
New Jersey seems to be holding it’s own these days, with one of the highest per capital incomes of all the fifty states in the Union, it is well known for their state motto of Liberty & Prosperity. New Jersey also in known for having the highest population density in the U.S. with an average of 1030 people per square mile which turns out is 13 times the national average. All of New Jersey’s counties are classified as metropolitans, the only state able to make that claim, so it is a great place to live, work and prosper.
New Jersey Jobs are plentiful and offer high wages for qualified workers. And being so close to N.Y. and Washington D.C. makes for a great location to raise a family. The garden state is there for the taking, with a lot to offer it’s citizens. I know several people that live there and wouldn’t dream of leaving their home state. I have often visited there and have always enjoyed my time spent there before heading back to the farm.
Good Neighbor’s are a Blessing
I hope you are blessed with good neighbors like I am. On the south side of my house lives a single woman who owns her own business and is there almost 7 days a week. And the guy she is dating lives in Indiana, so when she’s not at her business she goes up to Indiana to see him.On the north side of my house lives a single woman who is retired from a government job. Most of her family lives in Kentucky, so she is only home about half the time and the other half she is in Kentucky.
Both neighbors mind their own business but do wave at me if we happen to pass in the road.
Perhaps they take some comfort in the fact that there is almost always at least one person at my house, 24/7, so if there were a disturbance or emergency at any of the three houses, I would be here to get a start on dealing with it and getting in touch with the right people.
A Wake Up Call
I find it very disturbing that there are so many people who have let themselves go and have become grossly over weight. No one can deny the fact that when out in public the amount of people that you come across need to loss weight, and I’m not talking about the folks that could take off 10 or 20 pounds, but more the likes of needing to get rid of 50 to 100 pounds of blubber, ugh….While listening to the local news last night, I heard a new story that tells us that the numbers are in, statistics are now showing that 2/3 of the U.S. population are over weight! That is a ridiculous number and if that isn’t a wake up call, I don’t know what is.
