Gonna Be A Bit Pro Active Here Folks

I can’t even begin to imagine what it would be if I had to deal with a case of identity theft. What a nightmare that would turn out to be. That is why I am trying the 30 Day Free Trial that Identity Hawk has to offer. I found this offer while surfing the Internet a while back and I was interested enough to book mark their site while contemplating the subject for a time and now is the time to go ahead and take action before something like this happens.

Identity Hawk numerous ways to protect people from identity theft protection and I would anyone to go to their site and see what they have to offer and if it is something that could help you or other people that you know and love. This is a growing problem, one that I don’t believe is ever going to go away, what a crazy world we live in today folks. It isn’t as if we don’t have a million other things to worry about and deal with, like right now Mother Nature is taking it’s toll on us that are living on the east coast. My poor sister is really freaked out and wants me to come over there, which she knows is so totally out of the question. I mean how could I possibly leave the farm and all the animals to go hide out with her and her family.

Dad’s Old Harley, a Basket Case

Since my brother has caught wind that I found and am going to try and restore our fathers old 1932VL Flathead, Harley Davidson, a sweet little 74 incher, he has been emailing me much more frequently and is showing enthusiasm in the whole project that lies ahead for the both of us.

Since he rides a Harley for a living he knows a lot about bikes and their accessories, so I’m happy to hear anything that he has to say about the situation facing us. He has found several websites for me to check out, so many options to choose from and so many decisions to be made, glad that we are not in a major rush to get this “basket case” up and running and looking suitable once again after so many years of collecting dust and I’m sad to say some rust has taken place as well, understandably so.

The latest company that he is referring me to is called cruiser customizing and they have a good website that I have been drooling over for the last hour or so. A good site to bookmark and come back to in the near future, when warmer weather prevails and I have some spare time, money and energy.

Just a Bit Out of My League

Tomorrow is Father’s Day so my sister just shot me an email inviting me to come over to her place for dinner with her family. Since both of our parents have passed Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are a real drag around the farm, so it will be nice to get away for the day and spend time with her, her hubby and the 3 kids.

The bad news is that she wants me to stop and pick up a few presents for her hubby that she didn’t have time to get to this week. She wants me to check out a Blu ray Ripper and/or a Blu ray Burner, which I really don’t know much about, so I’m going to do some research on the Internet to find out more about them so that I can learn more about them before having to make a blind purchase. It is too bad that there isn’t enough time to order these online, that would be the way to go as far as I’m concerned, but stuff happens and now it is up to me to stop in town and see what I can find on my own. Wish me luck on this task folks, I think I’m going to need it.

Full moon

I ran into some friends today at the Tractor Supply Store.  We hadn’t seen each other in a while, so we decided to have coffee together at the local diner before we all headed home again.   We started talking about how tonight was the full moon and swapping stories about how the full moon sometimes effects them or people that they know. 

Bob said his wife is a nurse in the local Emergency Room and that they get a lot busier during the full moon than any other time of the month.  She said that they get more incidences of violence, saying the people’s tempers flare up more easily.  She also claimed that more babies are born during the full moon.

Gary said that his youngest daughter gets a lot crankier than usual during the full moon, and tends to start arguments with her brothers and sisters on full moon days.

I’d heard that the police department has more people scheduled to work during the full moon too, because they have more domestic disturbance calls during the full moon.  I don’t know if that’s true or not….  just something I’d heard.  I think it’s an interesting idea, that the full moon effects our moods in that way.

A Skiers Paradise

Winter Park, Colorado is truly a skier’s paradise. With virtually no lift lines and a mountain that boasts mogul skiing at it’s best, this is a favorite spot of mine.

Once I load up the skies and dogs, set the home security alarm (home Alarm systems prices) and head west, I always find time to stop at Beau Jo’s pizza in Idaho Springs on the way. They have the best pizza and it’s a Colorado tradition. My drive continues up Berthold Pass (which can be dicey so check the weather reports) and back down into Winter Park. It’s an old skiers town. There’s nothing fancy here. No fur coats, no expensive accomodations, just the awesome mountain and a ton of snow! I like to go directly to Mary Jane. This is the mogul mountain. After a day skiing the bumps I’ll hop back over to the base of Winter Park and enjoy some groomed runs. Everyone is friendly and happy in Winter Park. There’s no pretense of anything fancy. We are all there to conquer the same thing…the mountain.

Tsunami Tide Takes A Toll On Santa Cruz, California

Every now and then I’ll get an email from my cousin, Larry, who I used to be so close to while growing up, but other than an occassional email I don’t hear much from him or any other member of that part of the family.  Their house was just a few blocks up from us, we were close in age and had a lot in common with each other back then so we became pretty darned close there for most of our childhood. As with so many families, they up and moved all the way across the country to beautiful Santa Cruz, California, which has got to be the most beautiful place that I’ve ever set eyes on, and I rarely get to see him or anyone else in his family for that matter. The last time I saw them was a few Christmasses ago, when they decided to fly in from Santa Cruz, spend a week doing the traditional family festivities and events and then they all flew back home in time to bring in the new year, so they were here for a good long week or so.

Anyway come to find out that Crescent City, Santa Cruz has been hit hard by by the tsunami from Japan and now we are all concerned for all of their safety during all of this. My cousin always joked about the possibility of something like this, of course in the back of every one’s mind was playing exactly what we are experiencing right now. According to the online edition of the LA Times one person is feared dead, while four people were swept into the sea. The harbor is destroyed and Highway #101 is now closed down. We have been trying to contact any of my cousin’s family, but of course we haven’t been able to get through, so it is a waiting game at this point, and we are in it for the long haul for family.

Discount Scrubs at Blue Sky Scrubs Online

I’ve decided to find some nice looking discount scrub sets for my sister’s birthday gift, for her up and coming birthday April 21st. Seems she is always looking for new clothes to wear to the hospital where she has been working at now for all most a year now. I’m so proud of her for going back to school and doing what she knew she had to do in order to gain employment in the medical field like so many other people have decided to do in these hard economic times. Since there will always be a need for medical professionals on this earth, it is a pretty safe bet to get the education needed to get your feet wet and stay in the medical field.

I remember that she found some pretty great hospital uniform suppliers online that she was excited about. One of them was blueskyscrubs.com, she was telling me is a company that started out with the manufacturing of scrub caps. Then their nursing scrubs, medical scrubs, and hospital uniforms were added six months later  in December 2005 and they have been selling like crazy ever since. I would love to get her one of those scrub caps or a couple of their nicer discount scrub tops. I’ll have to check and see what all they have. It is so nice to be able to just jump in the computer and check on things such as this. If I had to get in the truck and drive all the way into town to find her something my options would be so limited. My sister deserves something nice that she wants for her birthday, she does so much for the entire family while taking care of her own family, and then taking care of people at the hospital as well. My sister – The Care Taker – who would have thought that 20 years ago when she was busy being a tom boy and beating the tar out of the neighborhood bullies that were terrorizing her brothers and her sisters alike.

Dressing Up Like A Big Girl For The Prom

My sister’s oldest daughter, Kim, is getting excited about graduating from high school this June. She is going to take a year off and then head to college the following year, or at least that is the plan as of now. The way things change around here you are never really sure until it happens. Kim is a smart kid and has the capability to do some pretty cool things in her lifetime, so we have all done our best to try and keep her right on track. This hasn’t always been easy, but 5 months to go and then she will be on her own.

Right now one of the concerns is her finding the best looking of the evening dresses for prom night which is a big deal in our small town. Since we don’t really live near a big city with a large mall to shop in you either have to go out of town to find your evening and/or prom dresses and hope that no one else goes there and buys the same one. Or you can shop online and find the perfect dress since there is still plenty of time. There are great deals to be found online, sites that are offering free shipping and accept PayPal always get my vote and my business.

Hard to believe that Kim will soon be eighteen and will be leaving the nest. I’ve watched her grow and have been very active in her life and I believe that she has a good head on her shoulders and that she won’t let us all down.

Not Too Old To Learn About The Stock and Online Trading

Now I know that I don’t look or act the type of guy that would be interested in Mobile Trading, IRA Accounts and all the other things that tie into what  Online Trading is all about these days. But I’ve heard so much about Stock Trading from a variety of folks that have found alternative ways to bring a decent income in such a screwed up economy that we have all found ourselves suffering from. With no light seemingly in sight at the end of this ever growing tunnel it is all too overwhelming and people are getting more desperate with each passing day, I’m sorry to say.

I’ve had, in the past, Mutual Funds, so I’m familiar with this type of financial gamble that I personally lost a good amount of my hard earned money in a matter of months. But Stock Trading and the use of an Online Broker are just a bit more over my head and I’d really like to start learning more about all of these Stock!s, Options, EFTs and Fixed Incomes for a starter I have a distant cousin who has consented to come over either Saturday or Sunday of next weekend and spend some time with me on my laptop and show me some of the ropes that he has been learning and finding out about the last 9 months or so. Even my eldest sister might join us to listen in and find out for herself in case she becomes interested as well. It is something that we could do together and learn together and possibly earn some money together. We will see how it pans out after the first initial meeting, so to speak.
