Lots of things on my mind….
While surfing channels I seem to keep seeing bits and pieces of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians, a show that I have never had any intentions of watching. I keep seeing a guy that looks familiar, but his voice isn’t quite right and his hair is just butt ugly. Come to find out – this guy is Bruce Jenner, a former Olympic athlete but something just didn’t seem to fit so I Googled his name and found out that he is one of the many victims of some plastic surgery done bad.
National Geographic has always been known for their great photographs. I’m glad that I ran across this photo on Yahoo. Most of us have a soft spot for dolphins and this photo depicts the seriousness of what man’s trash is doing to so much of our wildlife.
Dolphin alert?- The archipelago of Fernando de Noronha, Brazil is considered a wildlife sanctuary, but today, even in this isolated archipelago dolphinsare victims of the bad habits of consumption.

The Los Angeles Kings have returned to their regal origins with a great start to the season, all of this without the talented defenseman Drew Doughty, and I can only assume that once Doughty returns the wins will continue in perpetuity. Okay, maybe not in perpetuity, but this team will be very impressive for a long time, as they are excellent in all facets of the game, and their defensive prowess will only further improve with the addition.
Doughty hopes to return Thursday, but regardless of whether he does or not the Kings have shown they can win without him. This team is a juggernaut, a majestic team which I have pledged my undying fealty. Last night we booed Kovalchuk relentlessly as our stifling defense held him to only two shots on goal. We made the former King realize that joining up with Satan’s army was a mistake, as the mighty monarchs taught him who wears the crown. It is no secret why we continue to be perfect at home, as home is the palace where the king feels most comfortable. I suspect we will win like 80% of our home games this season, that is how talented and impressive this team is. Since I moved far way from Southern California, I like rooting for the Kings via NHL Center Ice available through Direct TV satellite.
I have a good friend that is confirmed bachelor just as I am. But where I am pretty quiet and laid back he is pretty wild and crazy and considers himself to be one of the best pick up artist in town. Me, I don’t even know how to text a girl with a pick up line and not sound like a complete idiot much less looking at one right in the eye and spewing out some outrageously witty line in an attempt to get her undivided attention.
I generally just go up and introduce myself, offer to buy her a drink (if at a bar) and hope that my smile gets to her in a positive way in an attempt to hook up with nice and interesting female. Not that I have a lot of time to spend bar hopping these days. There is always so much work to be done around here, come night time I’m usually wiped out and not in any mood to clean up, dress up and go up town for an evening out on the town. A quick dinner and a nice hot shower is more my speed then an hour or so on the computer before kicking back on the sofa for some television, if I can find something decent to watch, works out well for this tired and lonely puppy.

12: My second favorite household chore is ironing. My first being Hitting my head on the top bunk bed until I faint.
13. I’m not going to vacuum ’til Sears makes one you can ride on.
14. Cobwebs artfully draped over lampshades reduce the glare from the bulb, thereby creating a romantic atmosphere. If your husband points out that thelight fixtures need dusting, simply look affronted and exclaim, “What? And spoil the mood?”
15. When writing your name in the dust on the table, omit the date.
Gift Cards and Gift Certificates have become a very popular gift giving item. Too many times have we all purchased a gift for some one only to find out that they all ready have one, or don’t need or want one and it turns out to be a waste of time and money for everyone all the way around. I took my wife to a restaurant the other evening. The waiter, for some reason, took my order first. “I’ll have the rump steak, rare, please sir.”
He said, “Aren’t you worried about the mad cow?” I replied “Nah, she can order for herself.”

One year, I decided to buy my mother-in-law a cemetery plot as a Christmas gift…The next year, I didn’t buy her a gift. When she asked me why I didn’t buy her one, I replied, “Well, you still haven’t used the gift I bought you last year!”

The new fall TV season is here and there seems to be a lot of good shows that are hitting the air waves. I’m trying to remember all the ones that I want to check out. All I can say is that I’m grateful for my DVR so that I will be able to record a lot of the ones that I can’t be home to see.
