Credit Issues

Who would have thought that our credit report would have so much impact on our daily lives? I used to think that credit was only important if you wanted to buy a house. But over the years I have learned that credit affects buying a car, getting credit cards, and even getting life insurance. So I decided to find a place that could help and discovered  The Credit People have a web site with lots of good information.

There are web sites to help people with credit repair service as well as giving information to people just learning about credit and getting started, such as new college grads and even people newly widowed who never handled money before. I’m hoping that this type of information might help some one else out in their time of need and these are certainly needy times that we have gotten ourselves in.

My credit got all messed up a few years back, before my parents passed away and I took over the farm and house. I haven’t had the extra time or energy to deal with credit issues but due to my sister’s urging I have been looking around a bit online researching the different “Repair Your Bad Credit” options and offers that are out there today. You can imagine how much easier the Internet makes this task for me. The last thing I need is to be tangled up with numerous phone calls or playing phone tag throughout my busy day.

I have managed to pay off most of my credit card bills, but there are still two of them that have some pretty high balances on them, with some pretty steep interest rates being charged each month. I’ll be able to breath a bit easier once they are done and over with, and I’m so looking forward to that day.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians

While surfing channels I seem to keep seeing bits and pieces of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians, a show that I have never had any intentions of watching. I keep seeing a guy that looks familiar, but his voice isn’t quite right and his hair is just butt ugly. Come to find out – this guy is Bruce Jenner, a former Olympic athlete but something just didn’t seem to fit so I Googled his name and found out that he is one of the many victims of some plastic surgery done bad.

The 2010 National Geographic Photo Contest

National Geographic has always been known for their great photographs. I’m glad that I ran across this photo on Yahoo. Most of us have a soft spot for dolphins and this photo depicts the seriousness of what man’s trash is doing to so much of our wildlife.

Dolphin alert?- The archipelago of Fernando de Noronha, Brazil is considered a wildlife sanctuary, but today, even in this isolated archipelago dolphinsare victims of the bad habits of consumption.

Too Pooped To Pop

I have a good friend that is confirmed bachelor just as I am. But where I am pretty quiet and laid back he is pretty wild and crazy and considers himself to be one of the best pick up artist in town. Me, I don’t even know how to text a girl with a pick up line and not sound like a complete idiot much less looking at one right in the eye and spewing out some outrageously witty line in an attempt to get her undivided attention.

I generally just go up and introduce myself, offer to buy her a drink (if at a bar) and hope that my smile gets to her in a positive way in an attempt to hook up with nice and interesting female. Not that I have a lot of time to spend bar hopping these days. There is always so much work to be done around here, come night time I’m usually wiped out and not in any mood to clean up, dress up and go up town for an evening out on the town. A quick dinner and a nice hot shower is more my speed then an hour or so on the computer before kicking back on the sofa for some television, if I can find something decent to watch, works out well for this tired and lonely puppy.

Vehicle Issues

Gone are the days of spending hours on the phone with your local yellow pages in one hand, pen and paper in the other hand and writing pages of information down in an effort to find the best car insurance quote from insurance agents in your neighborhood.

All this takes place after you have spent many hours hopping from one car dealership to another finding the perfect vehicle to purchase. This process could takes days, weeks and even months to accomplish, what a time consuming task that was, back in the day!

Today you can spend what time you have and need comparing vehicles and car insurance cost offers and issues on web sites like what thecarconnection.com web site has to offer. It’s a geat one stop shopping web site for just about everything concerning new and used vehicles. Ratings, articles, reviews, photos, prices, etc. Just about every type of vehicle can be found here, lincoln, dodge, chevy, ford, honda, mazda, toyota, vw and a whole lot more right at your finger tips. They really have done a boat load of legwork on this site folks, they couldn’t have made it any easier, even financing issues can be found there.

Gift Cards

Gift Cards and Gift Certificates have become a very popular gift giving item. Too many times have we all purchased a gift for some one only to find out that they all ready have one, or don’t need or want one and it turns out to be a waste of time and money for everyone all the way around. With Christmas coming about in short order I have been spending some time online looking for gift ideas for the folks that I need to buy holiday gifts for and I’ve decided that I will purchase gift cards for many of these folks that are on my Christmas gift giving list.

I have found a site at globalsportsstore.com that have some great products that I’m sure several of my friends and family members would enjoy. They have tons of outdoor and sports related products, like Air Rifles and Guns, along with the ever popular GPS systems that just about everyone owns or would like to for the majority of their vehicles. GPS has become very specialized and the prices are coming down just a bit each and every year. So I’m going to go ahead and order several gift cards from this site and get a few names checked off of my list nice and early like.

If you want to see a cool online sports store give globalsportsstore.com a look see and see if you get any gift giving ideas for your holiday gift giving options.

My Cousin’s Time of Need With Multiple Sclerosis

I know a few people that have Multiple Sclerosis, but to tell you the truth I don’t know a whole lot about MS but I’ve been doing a bit of research on the Internet and learning what I can. A cousin of ours has been experiencing Ms Symptoms and was recently diagnosed with MS so I figured I’d find out what I can and pass the information along to other family members as well. Knowledge is power and the Internet can provide us with a lot of knowledge, it’s unfortunate that my cousin doesn’t have Internet access, but most of the rest of the family does.

When I find good information I’m printing out what I find and will mail my cousin with what I can find that I think will be useful for him and his wife to use. His doctor wants him to follow a Multiple Sclerosis Diet and to exercise as much as possible. So I found a website allaboutms.com and found a Ms Diet and printed it out and put it in today’s mail to them. It’s a start and I’ll be finding out more as I go along and see if there is anything else that I can do for him in any way that I can. I’m just glad that they don’t live too far away from the rest of the family and I so that we can be there for him in his time of need.

Class Rooms

I have to say that I think that it is pretty cool that these days you can find Math answers on the Internet. Today’s students can now get high quality Online tutoring for just about any subject out there from K-12 and all the way up through college. There is a great site at tutornext.com that you can find all kinds of school help. Wish we had something like that when I was attending school and struggling with Algebra 1 and Algebra 2.

I used to be able to help my nieces and nephews with their homework when they were in elementary school. But as soon as the started middle and high school I have to tell you that became pretty useless, especially in the math area. If I don’t have a calculator in hand I’m pretty much in hot water these days.

On day I’d like to be able to take some college classes, but they will be on subjects that I have an interest in, like history. Too bad I wasn’t interested in history back in my school days because history is fascinating to me and I’d like to learn more in a formal class room setting one day.

Face Book

I’m planning on taking some time this weekend and creating a Face Book account. Face Book seems to be the wave of the future, I mean every one and I mean every one is talking about it. There just doesn’t seem to be any way around it. If you can’t beat them join them, right?

Face Book

I’ve been told how wonderful Face Book is, but I have held back from checking it out, that is until last night. I finally got the courage and the time to go in and sign up. I have a lot to learn but I’m up for the challenge, will see how it goes.
