I was reading the reviews of the fender precision bass at guitar center earlier today and saw that one of the reviewers wrote that this particular brand and make of guitar was the same one as the guitar that John Entwistle played with the Who in the glory days of 1969-70. I don’t know if that is true or not, but it piqued my interest because I have seen the Who in concert many times. I even saw them before they were famous in their own right – in fact, they were one of the opening acts for Herman’s Hermits back in the ’60s! I remember at that concert the band performed “Boris the Spider” and I LOVED it so much that when their first album went on sale in the US I went out and bought it as soon as I could.
Ignoring advice
When Marcia announced to the entire office that she needs to find a place that sells cheap trumpets, I pretended that I had not heard her. She is always telling me that she needs to find a place to buy something and then she never follows my advice. I get tired of sharing my experience and advice with people, just to have them completely ignore it. Sometimes I think about asking people why do they even bother to ask me for advice if they have no intention of even thinking about following it!
New Printer to Avoid the Empty Ink Cartridge Error
Why does my printer always go out of ink when I really want to print something. It never fails, I have something I need to print, maybe a coupon, a permission slip, tax paper work, you name it… anyway I need to print it and then I get the dreaded error message that my ink cartridges are empty.
It used to be that the printer I had would tell me the ink was low and just continue to print. The quality of the print would be very poor but I could still get something on the page. For some things the lesser quality was not a problem at all and I would continue to print until my pages came out blank.
I got a new printer a few months ago for a number of reasons. The primary reason was that the ink cartridges for my old printer were so darn expensive and I was going through them pretty fast. I was tired of paying $50 a cartridge and not having it last very long. I did research on printers that have low priced ink cartridges. I settled on an Epson Stylus NX430.
I love that the cartridges are only about $8! That is so much better than my other printer. And, this printer has individual cartridges for each color so I only have to replace the color that is out not all of them at once. At this price point I can change all for cartridges for still less than just the black cartridge of my other printer.
What’s For Dinner? Time To Menu Plan
It’s almost 5 o’clock and I still have no idea about what is for dinner. I’ve been pretty bad about this for awhile now. It’s so darn stressful having to think of something for everyone to eat at the end of the day when I’ve been working all day. I enjoy cooking but I hate figuring out what to cook.
I really should work on meal and menu planning. It would be great to come home at the end of the day and just start dinner, or even better have it all finished in the crock pot and waiting for me to serve. That sounds much more relaxing than standing in front of the fridge, freezer, and pantry every night for 30 minutes trying to figure something out. It makes me cranky sometimes when I can’t find something easy after a long day and I’m exhausted and just want to eat and sit down.
I think maybe I will start meal planning I know it would make grocery shopping easier because I would only have to buy what’s on my list from the meals I have planned. Sometimes I can spend hours in the grocery store just wandering the aisles and tossing stuff in the cart. I can spend $100 or more easily and get home and not have anything to make a complete meal. I guess I just have to get to it and start. In the mean time, pizza it is for tonight.

When I was teaching decorative painting at the adult education classes at night, I often found myself needing more than two hands to accomplish what I wanted to do. Sometimes I needed to prop up a teaching aide on the easel board, but it would not be convenient to put it down on the tray. A lot of times it would just topple off of the bottom tray. It was a real challenge! So one day I was in the hardware department of the local department store, looking for a solution to the problem and found some spring clamps that would solve the problem – I could use one of them to clip the teaching aide(s) onto the side of the easel pad. I’m pretty sure that was not the original intention of the clamps, but they do a great job and I’m glad that I found them!
