I have almost finished my Christmas shopping! I’m sure my credit card companies love me, along with my family. They have all gotten some pretty sweet gifts this year. My family and I have decided for me not to cook. I love to cook but this year I get a break. So as long as I bring the gifts and the cookies I will be a hero! Bring it on, Christmas!
Cookies!
The New Tree
Soon after I put all the decorations for Christmas up my prelit tree decided to stop working! So I had to find a new one and fast! I jumped online to see if I could find one. I had been in the Bass Pro Shop earlier and saw a tree that was great! I had to have it! I found the tree and bought it right away. Not long after that I had my tree. So now it’s up and prettier than the last one!
Stockings
Okay, I decided that decoration was first on my list. So I pulled out the old decorations from last year and I realized that my stockings were missing! Decoration for Christmas require stockings! So, it took me two days to find just the right ones! Now the house is beautiful and I can get back to the other stuff.
Here it comes…
So Christmas is coming up now and I just can’t wait to get in the hustle of the holiday! I have three weeks to complete a long list of things. Should be fun, wish me luck!
Thanksgiving Dinner
Here it is again… Thanksgiving. I love all of the cooking and preparation and traveling when it comes to Thanksgiving. Every Thanksgiving that comes around I travel home to be with friends and family. There’s always traffic, family, and a bunch of food. I’m not sure just yet what I am going to bring but I’m sure it will be tasty. I’m thankful for my family wanting me around for turkey day! So I guess it’s time to start cooking and then hit the road again!
Costumes!
Well one of my favorite holidays is coming up. I dress up every year. I think that you are never to old to play dress up, it’s fun! So I was going through some websites to find some reasonable prices on some Elvis costumes for women. There are not that many costumes like that for a decent price. But, to my surprise I found a website that had just that! halloweencostumes4u.com
Pumpkin Poptarts?
Waffle Cone!
Today is the day that the ice cream waffle cone was invented in 1903! It was first introduced at a county fair celebrating the Louisiana Purchase in St. Louis. There is nothing I love more than ice cream except ice cream in a waffle cone! So the next time that September 22nd rolls around and you have nothing to do, just think about having ice cream in a waffle cone! At least you will have a reason to eat ice cream!
National Chicken Month?
So here I was sitting thinking about what I was going to write for this month. I mean there is not much to cheer about in September. So I decided to do a little research on this wonderful month and to my surprise I learned a few things! September is National Chicken Month! How in the world do you make a month all about chicken? Someone did, and now it is celebrated nationally! Look out turkey, chicken is moving in!
