August

This is the only month of the year with no holiday and no reason to take off from work other than you want to schedule a vacation. Of course, in some parts of the county, this is the big vacation month and everyone is gone for weeks at a time.

I’m looking forward to September when the heat subsides a little but we still have nice weather for doing fun things outdoors. And we get back to having at least one holiday each month, too.

Oh, the Stress

Tough week at work. Bad allergies. Haven’t bought the Mother’s Day gift yet. My legs are too pale to wear shorts but it’s getting hot. I need a hair cut. My tooth hurts. I need more time – more money – more brains.

Easter Bunnies

I love Easter. Everything is fresh and new and pretty. There are baby bunnies and baby chicks and ducks, families get dressed up to go to church, everyone eats a big meal together. It’s a happy time with family and good food. I hope your Easter is happy, too!

My dog named Mork

I figured we would go ahead and address the ‘Mork and Mindy” name issue right away and get it over and done with, right here and now. Not that I mind all the jokes and giggles, I have a sense of humor just like the next person, and I grew up enjoying the Mork and Mindy reruns that came on cable TV, but I just figured we could nip it in the bud, so to speak.

My parents had a sense of humor also, it certainly came into play when they purchased a puppy for me at the age of 4, and my parents the whole family decided to give this newest member of the family the name of Mork. Mork has been my best buddy and friend, much like in the TV series, since the day he arrived in our house oh so many years ago and still lives there with my folks and he makes my home coming even more exciting and something to look forward to and I can’t wait to see him and spoil him rotten. He is getting up there in years but still has plenty of spunk and I treasure the time that I spend with him, as always!

My Christmas Wish List- Thanks for asking Mom!

My mother has emailed me asking me to provide her with my wish list for this year’s Christmas gift exchange that I am planning on going home to in a few weeks. I can’t wait to see the family, I just got to see them over Thanksgiving, but time went way too quickly and then I found myself back here, on my own, in no time.

I’m glad that I will have one whole week to kick back in my old room and have plenty of time to see and talk with everyone that I have plans with. I know that I will be taking with me some school work that will need some of my attention, but hopefully it won’t be too awfully much.

I’m getting to work right away in sending my mom my long list this year, now that I am out on my own I’m finding the need for all types of items that I just took for granted while living at home and I don’t have a lot of cash to throw into the place at this time.

Thanks for asking Mom!

Busy Days

I believe that I picked a crazy time of the year in order to take on a whole new blogging and WordPress adventure, but I’m going to try and am anxious to learn all the neat new things that have been coming out for me to discover here. Several of my friends are blogging and I’ve been hearing a lot about it lately.

You see the Holiday Season is now in full swing, we just got Thanksgiving over and done with, it was good, but pretty stressful. And now Christmas is only a few weeks away and I have my studies (I’m in my first year of college away from home) that need my attention as well as getting my gifts purchased and wrapped in time.
