A man came up to me the other day and asked if I had a dollar to exchange with him. I thought it was a weird request and asked him why. He said the dollar he had would not go into the soda machine. I made the trade and examined the dollar. There was writing that said wheresgeorge.com on it. This explained why the machine would not take the bill, but a new mystery was started.<\/p>\n
When I got home I looked up wheresgeorge.com and found that it was a site that tracks U.S. currency. Apparently a lot of information can be gleaned by tracing where money goes. Wanting to help, I registered the serial number of the bill as well as the series. I was shown a history of where the bill had been before me.
