Somewhere recently I read that over half of Americans have candles in their homes. I wonder if they are for emergency use or do people actually burn the candles on a casual basis?<\/p>\n
I like to burn candles during the evening while watching TV or working on the internet. Usually I buy mine at WalMart for just a couple dollars. Lately they have been featuring a multipack of 2 large candles with 3 small votive candles for just $10. That is a really good deal and that many candles will usually last about a month with my casual evening use.<\/p>\n
Of course, I keep a couple stashed for emergency use. If we were to get an ice storm or a tornado come through here, I might lose electricity for a few days. I could probably survive at home for up to a week if i had to, and the candles would have to be my source of light in an emergency.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
