\"Cell<\/a>Do you jump the second you hear your phone buzz or beep? Do you freak out if you forget\u00a0your\u00a0phone somewhere? Do you never leave a room without your phone?<\/p>\n

I was always afraid to get cell phone in the beginning because I thought of them as an electronic leash. I don’t think it’s necessary for\u00a0people\u00a0to be able to get\u00a0a hold\u00a0of you every second of of day. I think it’s actually turned people into open books almost. People share\u00a0everything\u00a0or text a friend about the most random things throughout the day. I don’t think they would\u00a0have\u00a0shared\u00a0whatever\u00a0happened if they didn’t have a cell phone.<\/p>\n

I think the challenge above is a\u00a0great\u00a0one. \u00a0To me it challenges everyone at the dinner table to\u00a0actually\u00a0be present and involved with the people that are partaking in the meal. Without this\u00a0challenge\u00a0you would probably see people\u00a0checking\u00a0and updating their\u00a0Facebook\u00a0status, playing some silly game, and or texting.<\/p>\n

I\u00a0know\u00a0I have been guilty of using my cell phone when it wasn’t necessary and when I realize it I try to make a\u00a0conscious\u00a0effort to put the silly thing down. Whatever it is, it can probably wait until the meal is over, the television show is over, or you are done\u00a0playing\u00a0the board game.<\/p>\n
