The original idea came from a woman named Sonora Smart Dodd who wanted to honor her dad as well as all the dads out there. The day is celebrated on the third Sunday in June every year.<\/p>\n<p>To my Dad I just wanted to let him know that I love him so much! My dad is always kind and generous to all the people he meets. He has been able to raise his children with the help of mom and we all turned out pretty good.
