They actually came out about a month ago, but I immediately put out the ant traps and sprayed and thought that I had nipped it in the bud, guess I was wrong.<\/p>\n<p>What I believe has happened is that the &#8220;heatwave&#8221; has\u00a0finally ended this morning, and after a whole day yesterday, of rain and thunderstorms, the little buggers have come back with vengeance!<\/p>\n<p>A few years ago, one of my daughters was dating a pest control dude, who for three years\u00a0after they stopped seeing each other, he would still\u00a0come over every year come the spring and do a real good professional job for us that would do an amazing job of keeping the ants under control.\u00a0 But\u00a0he hasn&#8217;t been around for the past several years and we are left to our devices of ant traps and sprays!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1398\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1398\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/darlenemackenzie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/rain-ant.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-1398\" src=\"http:\/\/darlenemackenzie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/06\/rain-ant-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"ant in rain drop\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1398\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rain Ant<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The bad news is that those pesky little black ants are back, in the bathroom and the kitchen both, they arrive here every spring.
