My Cocker needs to go to the vet, and both of us are dreading it. He has what is called, “cherry eye”, meaning the lower lid, (Cocker spaniels have two on each eye), sort of popped out. It’s not harmful and there virtually is nothing to be done about it, but he needs it looked at about twice a year. It’s a hereditary condition, and the vet could put a small stitch in it to hold it in place, but 8 times out of 10, the stitch doesn’t hold. His eyesight isn’t threatened enough for him to have this surgery and believe me, it is very pricey. So, we’ll go to the vet, get him checked out, and he’ll cop an attitude with me for a few days, as he always does.
