He has what is called, &#8220;cherry eye&#8221;, meaning the lower lid, (Cocker spaniels have two on each eye), sort of popped out. It&#8217;s not harmful and there virtually is nothing to be done about it, but he needs it looked at about twice a year. It&#8217;s a hereditary condition, and the vet could put a small stitch in it to hold it in place, but 8 times out of 10, the stitch doesn&#8217;t hold. His eyesight isn&#8217;t threatened enough for him to have this surgery and believe me, it is very pricey. So, we&#8217;ll go to the vet, get him checked out, and he&#8217;ll cop an attitude with me for a few days, as he always does.
