Keeping Control

My job carries me all over the country. That’s one thing I like about it. I never know where I’ll be off to next and that adds a little bit of excitement to it. I am always meeting new people and going where I have never been before. One part of my job is to attend the various trade shows that are concerned with my company. We have a stand that we set up in order to show off our products.

One thing that I don’t like is when things get out of control. While I’m glad that people are excited to see our products, I don’t want them rushing the stand and making it difficult to keep order. That’s why we started thinking about crowd control as a serious issue. I don’t want people getting hurt or feeling like they are not getting the service they deserve.

One idea we came up with was to use velvet rope and stanchions to hold the people while we showed off our stuff. We also took advantage of barricades to make our show a little bit better. I feel much better about attending the shows now that we are all set. My job is so good to me and I’m glad to have it as I see and do so many things.

Down come the walls

The country of Iraq has gone through a lot ever since the U.S. led invasion in 2003. One thing that has people there optimistic is the fact that the government is starting to tear down some of the blast walls that were put up to deter attacks. The walls cause traffic jambs and are an eyesore.

Citizens of the country are glad that security is getting good enough so that the walls are no longer needed. It is a good sign and I hope the country will continue to make progress.

Support your neighbors

With the economy the way it is, I feel it’s important to spread around the little bit of wealth I have. When I do, I like to support the businesses that are close to me. I feel that keeping people in my area busy is good for me as well. One way I do this is to use a site called local.com. It is a search engine on the internet that helps me find businesses that are close to home. I then take advantage of their services if I can.

I think the one feature that I use the most is to find local restaurants. We like to eat out from time to time and are always looking for new places to go. If I want Mexican food, I just look through the listings until I see a likely place to go. It’s easy to do and fun. They also have a local yellowpages service that comes in handy. That way I don’t have to spend time trying to figure out where my wife hid the telephone book!

I recommend this site to all those who want to support their neighbors. The local search option is quick and convenient. Another good thing is that you can add your own input about a business or service in your area. That makes the site a little more personal.

Is earth starving?

Scientists believe that the future of people on earth will be more difficult than ever. Since population growth is expected to rise over the next 40 years, the pressure on our planet to produce the food we need will rise. This will cause global competition for resources.

Many believe that keeping the population down will help in this effort. Family planning programs must be funded especially in poor nation such as Africa. Food prices will continue to rise and efforts to produce the food we need will be harder.

Spreading the Fun

One thing that everybody in my family really enjoys is going to an outing. We all love to get away from home for a few hours and go see a sporting event. Sometimes we watch a football or hockey game, but it depends on what time of the year it is. Since its basketball season, we have been going to many of the games. I recently got some Boston Celtics Tickets that we used to see the game. I was glad I got the tickets pretty cheap.

We do a lot of traveling and it’s good to be able to get tickets to major events on short notice. I found a site called acheapseat.com that is good for getting tickets on. Spring Fever

I don’t know about where you live, but around here it’s been a long and cold winter. That’s why I was so excited when t he weather finally seems to be turning. Yesterday was very nice and today is even better. I spent the better part of the morning outside just enjoying the sunshine.

I have been waiting to get out of the house for a long time. I like doing many things indoors, but it’s really nice to get out and enjoy our earth. I am sure the worst of the winter is over and we will all be basking in the sun!

Ever since I got my first computer, I have loved every minute of using it. There are so many things you can do and see on the internet. I use mine every day and really enjoy having it. If there is any one thing that I don’t like about my computer, it would be my printer. It seems that I am constantly running out of ink and it can get really tiresome at times.

Is the terminator back?

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been the governor of the state of California for the last seven years. The former actor got into politics as a way to influence his country. He is now ready to retire from politics and has been asked whether or not he will return to acting.

The former governor has stated that he is inclined to consider new roles. He could soon be back on the silver screen as fast as a few months. I hope he does better in acting than he did at governing.

Get on with Life

One thing that will certainly get you ahead these days is a good education. I see it all the time as I have hired a number of people for my company. I get hundreds of applications and it can be difficult to sort through them all. That’s why I eliminate a number of them right off the bat if they are not properly certified. I know there are many talented people out there, but they need to have the proper background on paper to get a job with me.

It can be hard to go to college. Going back and forth to it can be a hassle. That’s why I believe that the easiest way to earn a degree these days is online. You only have to find the top online schools to start the process. You can do your work from home at your own time and speed. It’s easy to do and will help you get ahead in life.

Education is a way to say to your employer that you can finish something that you started. That’s very important to me. There are sites where you can go to find the best online colleges and earn your online degree. It’s ever more important these days as the job market is tight. I think everyone should look toward finishing their education and get on with life!

Super Bowl Sunday

It’s that time of year that I always look forward to. It’s Super Bowl Sunday and it’s a great time to party and watch the game. This year it will be the Green bay Packers against the Pittsburg Steelers. The game will be played in Texas at the Cowboys Stadium. I think it will be one heck of a game.

I will root for the Packers this year as I like their long history in the league. I might be wrong, but it won’t be the first time. Anyway, I am sure I will have a good time as I have some friends coming over and we are sure to have a blast!
