The house smells absolutely wonderful.\u00a0 Celeste is in the kitchen making a Gingerbread house.\u00a0 She has been working on it every night for about a week now.\u00a0 She’s a very talented young lady.\u00a0 From what I have seen so far, it’s going to be absolutely beautiful.\u00a0 Little Joe ends up with more Gingerbread than the house does it seems sometimes because Celeste wants it to be perfect and if it’s not, there stands Little Joe ready to eat the imperfections.<\/p>\n

Oh I don’t think I told you that we’re having a Gingerbread house contest this weekend.\u00a0 First prize is a $100 gift card and a weekend stay here whenever you choose.\u00a0 Second place is $75 and one nights stay.\u00a0 Third place is a $50 gift card.\u00a0 So far we have 10 contestants that I am sure of.\u00a0 There are 8 other applications that haven’t come back in yet so they could still be in the contest too.\u00a0 Most of the contestants are locals.\u00a0 We do this every year and then leave the houses up for viewing by my customers.<\/p>\n

Last years winner also sold theirs to a lady that paid $150 for it.\u00a0 I almost fell over.\u00a0 It was a big Gingerbread house and it was beautiful but everything has to be edible and I guess they could be kept for a while.\u00a0 I don’t know.\u00a0 Anyway, Celeste is making the barn, animals and manger scene.\u00a0 So far, it’s absolutely gorgeous.\u00a0 I can’t wait to see it when she’s totally finished.\u00a0 No I’m not one of the judges.\u00a0 There are judges that come here from other contests to judge them.\u00a0 Here’s one from last year.\u00a0 Isn’t it amazing?<\/p>\n
