I was getting tired of my old WordPress theme and decided to shop around for a new, more lively theme. I love this one. It fits me better than the old one. The old one sort of looked so lonely to me and I am anything but lonely. In fact, my life is full of wonderful friends and a wonderful community so here’s to my new theme!! What do you think? I personally love it!!
I admit it, I’m a Dancing with the Stars junkie!
I don’t take much time to watch TV but on Monday night and Tuesday night, I’m glued to the TV for Dancing with the Stars! I have been a fan since the first season. I always wanted to take dance lessons but my father wouldn’t let me for some reason so I guess I sort of live my dreams through watching them dance on TV.
I just hate that tonight is the season finale. I sure have had a hard time guessing who would make it this far. I really thought Lil Kim would have been in the final four but that’s not the way it happened at all. That just goes to show how much the viewers votes determine who stays and who goes. Did you see the freestyle dance Shawn and Mark did. They got straight 10’s and should have. It was by far the best freestyle of the night. I found it on youtube just in case you missed it.
Car loans can be hard to come by lately
I have heard so many people talk about how hard it is to get car loans these days. The banks just aren’t letting go of much of the money they got in their bail out package yet. Until they do, it’s tough to buy a new or especially a used car. Heaven help you if you don’t have absolutely outstanding credit too. Got to keep the kids entertained
Little Joe just loves to watch movies, especially Disney movies. I have now rediscovered some of my old favorites like Pinocchio and 101 Dalmatians. Well since he enjoys watching Disney movies so much, I decided to join the Disney Movie club. Not only will I have DVDs that Little Joe can watch, but I’ll also have a collection of DVDs that my guests can use to entertain their children when they visit. I didn’t even know there was a Disney Movie Club and I found it by luck at disneymovieclub.go.com. If you have little ones, it’s a great way to build up a good selection of Disney Movies.
You can get the old favorites like Old Yeller and Cinderella but you can also get Hannah Montana too. You know, that’s one talented little girl Billy Ray Cyrus has there. I like the positive songs she writes directed at young ladies too. She’s had a few slip up but all in all, she’s a pretty darn good role model for your girls. Much better than Brittney Spears turned out to be or Lyndsey Lohan. Sorry girls but you fell off of the ‘good role model’ wagon a long time ago.

We had a great Easter here. We had a huge Easter Egg hunt for the local children and it was my first Easter with Little Joe. He is such a joy. Since I have never had children of my own, he’s like a grandson to me and we had a blast dying Easter eggs and decorating for Easter. The excitement he had over the Easter Bunny coming was just the cutest thing. In the Easter Egg Hunt, whoever found the golden egg got a special gift, a $10 bill. Well as luck would have it, Little Joe found it all by himself.
I was checking online to find some different types of candy to have to put in the eggs and I found a site called thatsweet.co.uk. They had some of the most delicious looking candy for not only kids but for everyone. The only problem was I could not find out if they delivered their goodies to the US. I didn’t find it soon enough to have ordered any in time to get here by Easter anyway but I’m going to do some more checking into the site to see if I can get some sent here. It would be nice to have candy that the children here have never seen, you know. I found it odd that they had candy that’s not here but I guess we also have some candies and sweets they don’t have there.
Okay, where did March go?
I’ve been so busy lately that March just flew by. Between the normal spring cleaning that we do and looking for new items to accessorize the rooms we rent out, I just didn’t realize that March was gone today. I was also looking for some new bedspreads for the rooms for summer. Instead of new bedspreads, I found some absolutely gorgeous duvet covers at plumeriabay.com online. I didn’t realize just how beautiful a duvet set could be. It sure makes it easy to turn your winter look to a spring look in no time at all.
I was amazed at the colors, the accessories that came with them and the total transformation they would make to a room. Not to mention, they fold up flat and require a lot less storage room when you take them off to store for the winter. I have to admit, I was tickled pink when I found these.
