{"id":693,"date":"2011-05-18T19:04:27","date_gmt":"2011-05-19T00:04:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/abbyvanburen.com\/?p=693"},"modified":"2011-05-18T19:04:27","modified_gmt":"2011-05-19T00:04:27","slug":"mothers-day-recap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/worpal.com\/abigailvanburen\/2011\/05\/18\/mothers-day-recap\/","title":{"rendered":"Mother&#8217;s Day Recap"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mother\u2019s Day this year was so special.\u00a0 For once in a number of years I had a ton of plans.\u00a0 I love having plans on the holidays even if they are not major ones.<\/p>\n<p>This year I will be attending to family BBQs.\u00a0 I really enjoy BBQs as well, especially with the family.\u00a0 For both events I have volunteered to bring a dish.\u00a0 When it comes to cooking for a BBQ, my talents really emerge. One of them will have a potato salad while the other will have a fruit torte.\u00a0 The fruit torte is truly going to be a masterpiece.\u00a0 This is an expensive treat to make but it is worth it when all is said and done.<\/p>\n<p>Before I leave for these gatherings I also have to be sure that my gifts to the mother\u2019s are wrapped and ready.\u00a0 This year\u2019s shopping was easy because I spotted the perfect gift for both of them a month in advance.\u00a0 In one of my many gift catalogs I discovered a fairy toad house that I absolutely fell in love with.\u00a0 I almost bought one for myself but decided that the expense of the two I was buying was expensive enough.\u00a0 These Moms are going to fall in love with them too.\u00a0 I can\u2019t wait to see their faces when they open them.\u00a0 The look<br \/>\nshould match the look when they taste my dishes as well!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mother\u2019s Day this year was so special.\u00a0 For once in a number of years I had a ton of plans.\u00a0 I love having plans on the holidays even if they are not major ones.
