I have seen a lot of the candle ceremonies, but never one with the sand. I think it would be really neat to do. The sand ceremony pretty much goes like this; The officiator tells the congregation what the ceremony stands for, a blending of lives. Then he tells the groom to pour some sand and the bride does hers next in a different color. Then they pour together creating a color that signifies the blending of their lives together from that moment forward. This vessel that has now been filled with the sand can be used as a memory that decorates their home.
